The picture disk looks pretty but every picture disk sounds like ass because the process they use to create them kinda fucks with the materials of the album. It's not "pure" vinyl, if I remember correctly.
What is the source of the audio, though? The 2015 remasters, or the originals?
Hopefully he travels to my neck of the woods again. I've never managed to catch him live sadly. He's very friendly with fans and used to stay for a pint or two after the show, doubt he's going to do that these days though.
Since Nicko mentioned Saga's Worlds Apart was his favorite album once, I decided to give it a listen again after many years. People back then thought Nicko was an odd fit for Maiden after Clive's departure but Nicko's love of Saga says a lot. Harris noticed he had an ear and a liking for prog so...
That's a pretty iconic photo from Piece of Mind, but be wary that the 1998 releases are a bit infamous for including pics out of context for their respective albums in an effort to get more content in there.
I don't think they'll actully play something they've never played before. Just songs they haven't played in a decade or more. TFP was a big exception probably to get Nicko to play Alexander. But this
Is already 70% of the concert for sure.
I wouldn't mind Wrathchild coming back!
You have to consider that certain tours have more songs on them because the set was made out of shorter songs. Half of the songs in TFP were almost 10 minutes long.
I don't know about that, Madness is still a big hit when played live and gives a moment of levity among all of the ultra serious Maiden epics. They like playing it and there's tons of room for audience participation in that one.
TETMD is not a deep cut but also not a hidden classic. When it's not played people don't miss it but it's not like people are going out of their way to ask for it. I'm guessing that it's going to be CIPWM again though.
Yeah it's gonna be an Early Days tour mark 2. The safe picks are, well, safe, and probably what we should expect. Maybe a redo of Beast over Hammersmith?
I will always be mad that they didn't do a proper video release of that tour. It was one of the strongest setlists they've ever done too. Even AMOLAD got some love.
Listening to As Live as It Gets and the fact that there's a significant amount of 70%, 80% and even 90% reviews for this album made me listen to it again. It feels like a very interesting artifact of a time where the band was in freefall, popularity wise, playing at their smallest venues since...
It might be a bit of a Mandela effect thing but I've always seen BL touring alongside Maiden, could be wrong of course, but it makes sense they did. But at the same time it's not like he cannot play or even meet BL members whenever he pleases as well.
