The problem with Zakk has and always will be quality control. If he put stuff out less often (typically, I know it's been a few years for him this go around) and maybe culled the 3 good songs from each BLS album and made one killer effort it'd be alright. The fact remains that he has no quality...

I'd agree. The only change in their career that was jarring was going from SSOASS to NPFTD.

Hey, you're entitled to your opinion. I think the Isle of Avalon is my favorite song of the reunion (Paschendale is standing behind me learing over at the computer screen in a personified form as I type this. I'm sorry baby, I have to quit you.), and I love the Alchemist.

Blaze can sing. I think the issue was always for people that Blaze didn't sound like Maiden. Obviously since Paul came before Bruce and was the first one recorded he's always going to sound like Maiden. As for me, I like all three of them, Bruce in the lead, and Paul and Blaze not too far behind.

To be fair as inventive and great Page was, my god was he sloppy and did he get even worse as the years went by... If we're talking 70s, I always have to throw Lifeson a bone, and to leave out Brian May in this conversation would be a travesty.

Re: Daily Song: Prowler 8. It's not a perfect song, but that intro as the first thing you hear on the first Iron Maiden album is class.

That flight of icarus leaves something to be desired as well. I'm going to say Rock in Rio barely edges out Raising Hell, because Raising Hell had some lackluster performances to go along with some great ones (Seriously, the NPTD material was awesome, and as was SSOASS stuff.)
