Ah, the eternal questions, what happened to Part 4 of l'histoire.
I believe it was shelved for reasons unknown, nothing official ever came out. Here's my opinion.....
The documentary that came with the Maiden England dvd was pish, they half assed it compared to every other piece of...
Yah, @Luisma said he was interviewed for it and that's how it would be.
The press release describes it as 'feature length' and there ain't no way we're gettin too historically in depth in 2 or 2.5hrs.
Considering we have fairly in depth history dvds up til 7th Son it makes sense for this one...
I know, it's so shit but hey ho, it's the content that matters.
Also, there's a list of countries where it will be shown. UK and Ireland are listed together. Empire is ooooooovvveeerrr guys, wake up and smell the emancipation.
Or maybe they listed us together cos we're the only territories...
I reckon it's probably hard to step away from the limelight, the roar of the crowd, the relentless adoration, the social side of things. These conventions probably scratch a bit of an itch.
Tornado of Souls never did it for me. Its mediocre to these ears. I don't care about the technicality of it, it just doesn't enhance the song for me and even diminishes it, it feels pasted in, utterly forgettable. The riff before the verse before the chorus is way more memorable. Absolutely...
I think this is great, they are people with a genuine connection to the band goin back 50yrs in some cases and it's bound to be a wonderful jolly for those guys to be part of something this big and great for Maiden and associated folk to have so many of them all hangin round at a (kind of)...
Here and elsewhere I've seen people in various states of rage over why Blaze wasn't asked.
Why would anyone assume that?
Maybe he was asked and doesn't want to play second fiddle to his old band. Maybe he's busy that day. Maybe Maiden don't feel comfortable asking him for some reason, like it...
It's maybe so you pre order one straight away in the initial buzz and then a few weeks later you've calmed down and it doesn't feel too extravagant to buy another one.
Blaze in Belfast was great, well attended, deadly tunes. 10min Thin Lizzy medley near the end without Blaze. I recommend it if he's in your vicinity.
2nd guitar would enhance things but the tones of both players made it irrelevant for me for the most part, the bass filled the space in the...
The current trend of over 30s day rave/parties is ticking the rock box now, there's 3 rock/metal day parties comin up in Belfast over the next few months. One is a dj and the other 2 are cover bands. I'm here for it, as the under 30s might say.
Me yo.
Aye, strange start time, don't recall many matinee shows in this venue before. It's one of the dearest pints in Belfast, £7.50 for a Guinness, if I recall correctly. Beautiful venue though.
