I can, and would, say that to Steve Harris.
And like the stand-up guy I am, I would also accept the inevitable tongue-lashing and kick in the balls afterward.
I agree with snake.
Whenever I think about Maiden, the 90s never happened.
As far as I am concerned, Bruce recorded some great solo records in the 1990s while Steve Harris did some half-decent side project-thingy with some guy called 'Blaze'. It's all worth a listen, but the band Iron Maiden...
I think the two worst songs on 'The Number of the Beast' are '22 Acacia Avenue' and 'Children of the Damned'. Also, I never get tired of 'Run to the Hills'.
'Somewhere in Time' is the weakest 80s Maiden album.
As long as they can keep the energy up, I want them to keep recording and touring.
They are the best live act going these days, and once that is no longer true, I want a nice farewell to the fans...
...then another 5 years of Bruce going solo.
1. El Dorado (this one, surprisingly, is the biggest "grower" to me - love that galloping riff)
2. Isle Of Avalon
3. The Talisman
4. When The Wild Wind Blows
5. Starblind
6. Coming Home
7. The Alchemist
8. Mother Of Mercy
9. Satellite 15... The Final Frontier
10. The Man Who Would Be King...
Same. It was a completely different show than the 'Somewhere Back inTime' two years previous, but the show was just as awesome.
If it was a rehash of the same stuff, I would've been disappointed.
If you like metal and hard rock, definitely check 'Queen' and 'Queen II'.
This song gives the best of Zeppelin a run for their money:

This riff is as heavy as anything that early Sabbath did:

The Tony Martin era of Sabbath is overlooked a lot.
Compared to the rest of Sabbath's amazing albums I can see why, but if one listens to these albums with the perspective that they are post-Sabbath Tony Iommi solo projects, they are enjoyable and have some real gems within them.
I love...
The excessively repetitive choruses on a couple of the songs, and rhyming "tonight" with "tonight" in the opening verse of When Two Worlds Collide are examples of the laziest and weakest lyrics in the entire Maiden catalogue.
