    Maiden England Tour 2012/2013!

Wasted Dreams would be an awesome song.

    Maiden England Tour 2012/2013!

Bump 'Fear of the Dark' up so it's right before 'Iron Maiden', and throw 'Wasted Years' in there somewhere, and that's a solid set list for this tour. I bet it's fake, though.

    Maiden England Tour 2012/2013!

Don't worry - if it's in the set list at the start of the tour it will probably be dropped for 'Wrathchild' or '2 Minutes to Midnight' after 4 shows.

    Worst Iron Maiden Song

I am not crazy about the long version of 'Virus', but the shorter version kicks all kinds of ass. I think my "worst" Maiden songs have all been mentioned... 'Quest for Fire', 'The Assassin', 'Bring Your Daughter...', 'The Apparition', 'Wildest Dreams', about half of Virtual XI... But I'll...

    Maiden England Tour 2012/2013!

I don't think 'Fear of the Dark' will get dropped for this tour. I also think 'The Prisoner' is more likely to be played than any of Maiden's other 90s songs. Of course, this is all conjecture.

    Maiden England Tour 2012/2013!

A cursory glance I took looks like there are anywhere from 2000-3000 seats left for each of the Western Canada shows (which isn't too bad, considering these are all 15,000 to 20,000 seat arenas).

Worst Mistake in the History of the Human Race

I like Jared Diamond's writing, but I think he's way off-base here. Food is a basic resource that we all need for survival, and a lack of food brings out survival instincts. Even within families and tribes, humans fought each other over food even before the advent of agriculture.

    Maiden England Tour 2012/2013!

Yeah, I noticed that too. I wonder if it's partially because the tour was announced so long before the start date? I mean, it was first announced in February, but they won't be around my area until late July... There aren't many tickets left at the show in my town, though. I bet it will...

    Question about NO PRAYER album

Yeah, there are some albums that you just cannot wait to hear again, even if they don't "grab" you upon first listen. 'The X Factor' and Maiden's last 3 albums definitely fall into this category for me. Each listen was interesting enough that I wanted to hear it again, and that's how they grew...

    Question about NO PRAYER album

I approve of this post, and agree on all points. And for clarity - just because No Prayer for The Dying is my least favorite Maiden album, doesn't mean it's not good. It just has too many "warts" (or "flaws" to my own ears) holding it back from being one of the great ones. And when I...

    Question about NO PRAYER album

I made it up? This isn't my song. :wtf:

    Question about NO PRAYER album

It's usually difficult to describe what makes a particular song more 'boring' than another. Some things are pleasing to the ears without any logical reason, others are not. On every album previous to No Prayer, Iron Maiden had some songs that weren't bad, but were definitely not as good as the...

    Maiden England Tour 2012/2013!

Well, we're about a month and a half away from opening night of the tour... I really hope they release some 'teasers' about what they are going to play, like they did with the Somewhere Back in Time tour. I will be happy with whatever they choose to play, but I'm taking my 8-year-old daughter...

    Maiden England Tour 2012/2013!

I think they will play Wasted Years. Of course I have no evidence to back it up, but they played it on Maiden England, and it always receives a great reception from the crowd. I really hope they play it - I never get tired of that song!

    Question about NO PRAYER album

I will never forget the first time I heard 'No Prayer for the Dying' - I was in disbelief that one of my favorite bands, who had released a string of classic flawless to near-flawless albums, could record and release such a flaming crapwagon full of boring songs. At the time I got the impression...

I've never heard that song. Is it any good?

Imagine this : Blaze , Paul and Bruce on same stage...

That's a great set list, but Bruce would do the best live renditions of all of those songs.
