Rumor* has it that those albums were removed temporarily because Maiden has something special planned for them - they will be re-issued with additional tracks.
*I made up that rumor.
That's your opinion, which is not "objectively right". I've listened to Live Chapter probably hundreds of times with headphones, and it sounds great. You can hear every instrument clearly, and it all sounds vital and powerful. The prominent keyboards at the end of The Red and the Black sound...
If there's going to be a third leg of the tour in 2025, then the "future" part will need to be switched out for songs from a new album. They can keep the SiT songs in the set.
And for me. Fortunately I have a large collection of concert DVDs, Blu-rays, and videos to watch for the remainder of my years. In the 90s I used to go to concerts without a ticket and get great seats easily from scalpers for far less money than I pay Ticketmaster today for crappy seats...
Got 2 tickets for Baltimore. Probably my last Maiden concert, as this shit is getting way too expensive. Almost $500 for 2 tickets, service fees, parking, and insurance.
What a shame that great live music is no longer affordable for the average person. Didn’t used to be like that.
I want to hear Machine Men live. It's my favorite track from The Chemical Wedding, co-written by Adrian Smith, never played live. Probably not going to happen.
Assuming Adrian tours with him, I'd like Bruce to play maybe 1 Maiden song that he and Adrian wrote that was never or rarely played. I'm thinking Back in the Village. The rest should be solo stuff.
Judas Be My Guide and Childhood's End for me are 2 hidden Maiden classics that never got played live. Great, unique sounding songs in the Maiden catalogue.
Good to hear from someone who appreciates the uniqueness of Fear of the Dark! That album gets slagged off by fans too much, in my...
Fear of the Dark and The Trooper are Maiden’s de-facto 2 greatest hits. The metric for deciding this is live crowd reaction and participation. The people want to hear these songs and sing along with them. They’re an essential part of the Iron Maiden concert experience.
I wouldn’t cry if they...
Not me. I think Death of the Celts kicks ass live. Much better than the studio version. Plus I love the backdrop. The lyrics and music with that backdrop make me picture an epic battle in my head.
I’m even weirder. I love Fear of the Dark from beginning to end. It’s a top 3 Maiden album for me. Even have a FotD tattoo. I like how the album blended hard rock and metal to create a unique new Maiden sound.
