    Blaze Bayley

Saw his Iron Maiden 30th anniversary tour last year. He is doing a special Iron Maiden set this year again. Hoping for fewer Virtual XI songs this time around, they almost played the full thing. Futureal, Clansman and Educated Fool would still be great. It's been a while since he did Blood on...

In terms of setlists yes. That was one of the best, to bad they haven't done a live album from that tour yet. Preferably from one of the shows that had Stranger in a Strange Land in it. But wasn't Ed Huntour basically the Virtual XI stage set?

    Adrian Smith

Well because they have not announced one:facepalm:

How will Simon Dawson change the look and sound of Maiden?

Sometimes new members is great. Andy Sneap and Ritchie Faulkner have made Judas Priest sound the best they have since the '80s. However, I'm not sure if having an almost 70-year-old drummer is the right choice.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

You dont want a 3 hour Blaze Bayley fronted Maiden gig and you dont want a 1h40mins greatest hits setlist. This is like trying to work out dinner with my girlfriend. Bruce is incredible, delivering outstanding performances on Clansman, Sign of the Cross, Lord of the Flies, Futureal, and Man on...

    Futureal

Best live song used as b-side but not featured on an actual live album. Bruce and Adrian added some intensity to the song!

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

It's real! They had the base set and the second encore is basically either spare songs they performed on and off during the 1998 tour or simply stuff they played the tour before and happened to remember. Blaze talks about this in his book. I can get you some photos if you'd like? Heres one from...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

I don't see how this contradicts anything I've written! If you consider Iron Maiden at Globen to be your least intense show with the worst crowd reaction, that's your experience and I'm not taking that experience away from you. Intensity and fan reactions, especially among those close to you in...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Well the shows I went too in 1995 and 2006 were recorded for radio and the reaction to the new material is amazing during both!

You wouldn't happen to have been temporarily deaf and blind in November 2006, would you?

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Best and most intense Maiden shows in went too were Kåren 1995 (The X Factor in focus) and Globen 2006 (Full AMOLAD performance). None of them were exactly fan favourite focused but they got the best reaction out of the 30 or so shows I've seen by Maiden. Too bad you never got to experience...

    Adrian Smith

Cool! I really hope they tour the album. Bruce did beyond well touring his solo material last year, and I think Adrian has a great band and great material, he is up there with Bruce.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Yeah, this is pretty common among casual fans. They tend to gravitate toward a condensed, greatest-hits style set, missing the key point that Iron Maiden has a rich, diverse history with a wealth of exciting material that demands more attention and engagement from the audience. Unfortunately...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Insane to think they did an almost 3 hour long show with Blaze at the start of Virtual XI World tour: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/iron-maiden/1998/the-oval-rock-house-norwich-england-5bd39fdc.html

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

If I remember this correctly, if you compare the Rush live albums Snakes & Arrows Live and All the World's a Stage there is not a single song that appears on both albums. Snakes & Arrows Live includes just one song from the 70's, while All the World's a Stage features songs from the first four...

    Janick’s first appearance with Maiden?

Maiden Revelations has a great article on this: https://maidenrevelations.com/2015/01/23/feature-friday-times-of-change-1990-91/ Not sure when Janick was announced. But here's the announcement about Adrian leaving in Kerrang Feb 90:
