I think they meant to present the shortest and most straightforward Maiden song for the American audience. In any case, SOTC and FOI are the two main snapshots from the tour. I think, at this moment, FOI is the right choice among the two.

I hope it will be the most straightforward Maiden: shorter songs, relatively little repetition, and more unpredictability. That would be an antithesis of BoS, which was another great approach to the Maiden sound.

This summer, Ozzy played one day after Maiden in Florence. And even though I don't have any official stats, I am sure Maiden concert was much more crowded.
