Why has some great songs been overlooked when it came to playing them live?

Judas Be My Guide has an awesome chorus but its a weak song and I'm glad they didn't play it instead of something else. But I agree there are some songs that should be played live at least once or more often. The reasons range from not liking the songs, not being popular enough, being too...

Which songs will never be played anymore?

What they meant by that is 10 of the songs in the set will be recent material, then 5 of the usual suspects like with the AMOLAD tour. At least I'm guessing so because Hallowed and Iron Maiden will always be played and Run to the Hills, Fear of the Dark and The Trooper and NOTB are extremely...

Can you pass the US Citizenship test?

I only got 7, I know bugger all about the US in this respect as I was never interested and never taught it in school (because its not very important to British history). However, I did get the years right (probably because I've heard them mentioned so many times in films) but mostly it was all...

    Maiden's Heaviest Song?

Fortunes of War comes to mind and actually a lot of The X Factor does. Even heavier when played live.

Thats not a quality found purely among fans of Potter ;)

    Introduction

Well, the main pattern is for the majority to enjoy the Bruce Dickinson albums, with some people only liking the 80s period and some only liking everything before Somewhere In Time or Seventh Son. Then there are people who only like Paul Di'Anno's singing as well. But otherwise, the tastes of...

    Potter & Tolkien discussion

I realise that was how the series was intended to go, I just didn't read the books for that originally. Not that I think she should have written them any other way, because its great she didn't keep the characters static. I just found them a little dull to be honest. And yes Twilight is ...

    Potter & Tolkien discussion

I merely meant that it usually takes more than the theme of the genre for books/films/whatever to capture my interest, I did attempt to read Tolkien but just wasn't interested. The films are a snoozefest for me, the usual "epic" films with the vast use of CGI and the usual orchestra stuff, and...

    Potter & Tolkien discussion

Well to be fair I only got caught by it because the first book came around when I was about 8, so I was the prime age for reading them. They are not deep books but they are well written and they will always be recommended to everyone. Also, I dislike Tolkien's works and never really got into the...

    NOW WATCHING

The problem I have with the recent Harry Potter films is that I didn't like the last few books, the grim turn it took and more adult nature of the story lost some of its original magic for me. I understand that she tried to make the books sort of grow up with the characters, but it unforunately...

Henry Surtees dies after Formula 2 crash

As was said, I meant see it happen at the time on television. Yesterday we had yet another horrific accident with Felipe Massa at in the Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying session. He was hit on the left side of the head by a suspension piece while travelling approximately 150mph. He's currently...

Sometimes Maiden plays songs differently, why is this?

Almost all bands do this. There are many reasons, either because they cannot actually reproduce the studio version (be it because of lack of actual skill or because they used effects they can't recreate without more members or whatever), they feel they can improve bits, they feel like changing...

Henry Surtees dies after Formula 2 crash

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/77088 I felt I had to post this here after I watched this race live today and its been the first death I have witnessed live since Ayrton Senna's crash in 1994. I instantly knew when that tyre hit that something horrible had happened, before even he...

How often do you listen to Maiden

Well, I'd say I listen to them at least once a week, the album and songs change. Having all 14 albums to choose from plus the various B'sides and other random songs helps keep the variety up. I generally save live albums for long journeys though.

He shined a laser pen in Bruce's eye and spat at Blaze. Oh and he was the one that stole Adrian's guitar. Probably.

Are Maiden t-shirts the new Fashion statement?

They have become somewhat fashionable oddly, yes. It only annoys me if I mistake them for being a fan and ask "favourite song?" and they look at me all puzzled. But otherwise, I'm not bothered, the more publicity for the band, the better.

A solution to the rising power crisis

Hey, its a good blog  :ok: I was referring to the general public with my comment though, unfortunately most do not know the differences. The media would no doubt try to come up with some catch-word for it though obviously it would be preferrable just to explain it properly, I can imagine people...
