In the only matchup in which my vote might impact the outcome, I voted for Mekong Delta. You can make uninteresting songs, and you can make long songs, but making long uninteresting songs is lame. Porcupine Tree seems to specialize in those.

I respectfully disagree—not that later albums follow this blueprint, they often do, but that “For Those” does too. Evil Walks and Night of the Long Knives are standouts.

I gotta vote for Devin just for the sheer absurdity of the album title and cover. And when your “sheer absurdity” quotient is higher than a guy who wears a fried chicken container on his head, that’s sayin’ something. Also, Power Trip still rulz.

I think the most likely artists to upset Maiden in this game are Sabbath and Metallica. (On a non-Maiden forum it wouldn’t be an upset.) Painkiller and Rainbow Rising each has a puncher’s chance, and I would certainly bet on Rush (Moving Pictures in particular) to make a very deep run.
