    Powerslave

Definately one of my favourites on the album, the topic, lyrics and solos are to die for!

    Twickenham gig, my review

My first ever Maiden gig, got there about 5 o clock, in time to see the first support band, Within Temptaion who were very good and well recieved. They did a 6-song set, and when they came off, a seriously MASSIVE war of bottle-throwing began which got more and more frantic as time went on...

Top 5 Reasons Janick Gers is Still a Member of Iron Maiden

Maiden really wouldn't be the same without Janick, we've gotten some great stuff out of him (Dream Of Mirrors, The LEgacy, Como Estais Amigos, Man On The Edge) I don't think it'd be right if they were to return to a 2-guitar lineup, as having the three of them really sets them apart from most...

Best album opener since the reunion

Wicker Man for me. Sadly, i wasnt into Maiden when it came out (wasn't into music full stop untill 3 years ago), but i still think it is a kick-ass track, really sounds like the band has been rejuvinated by the reunion  :)

    Latest Set List

They'd better do it at Twickenham. It'll be my first time seeing them, and i sure as hell want to hear it, as its one of my favourite Maiden numbers.......

    Current SBIT setlist (possible spoilers)

Well i love the setlist, and i'm extremely glad they're still doing I just wish they'd also do

    I'm Starting from Powerslave

My 'point' was rhetoric. Few bands can really consider doing a 13 minute track of that ambition, let alone that quality, when they are at such an early stage in their career (Their debut only came out 4 years beforehand), and it's impressive that they could do it. My point seems to have been...

    I'm Starting from Powerslave

Well i agree Killers is easily their worst album, but Powerslave? COME ON!!! It's ficking awesome! ROTAM is a legendary track, how many other bands have the balls to record a 13+ minute track, not to mention play it live? It's got awesome dual riffs, cool lyrics and subject matter, and the slow...

    Blood on the World's Hands

Re: 'Blood On The World's Hands' Well it's more emotional and personal than most Maiden songs then, happy now?  :P

    Sign of the Cross

Re: 'sign Of The Cross' Seems like Steve attempting to write another 'Hallowed Be Thy Name', with the way a series of short verses are all sung in rapid succession, with a long, extended instrumental piece playing the remainder of the song with a final sung verse at the end.   Still a great...

    The Aftermath

Re: 'the Aftermath' Awesome song, probably one of the best behing Blood On The Worlds hands and sign of the cross. The chorus is haunting and the lyrics really thought provoking (well, most of them on the album are......) Definately seems to me to be anearly version of Paschendale.........

    Blood on the World's Hands

Re: 'Blood On The World's Hands' I for one dont really like the intro to this song, it just doesn't seem to fit the general feel of the song, though the way the end of it progresses into the main riff is quite cool Otherwise, this is one of my favourite songs on the album, it's emotional...

    Your Least Favourite Song

Probably 'The Angel And The Gambler'

    BLAZE singing Wasted Years

Considering how high Bruce sings this song, i was expecting Blaze to suck at this, but on this clip he actually seems to be doing a good job  :ok:

    Least favourite album

Really can't agree, that statement would definately be true about the First album, but not for Killers. The only songs which i find really worth listening to are: Wrathchild, Murders In The Rue Mourge, and Killers. The rest, while not actually bad, just aren't particually exciting or memorable...

Bruce: "Tokyo Concert Filmed For Upcoming DVD"

I thought personally that the twickenham show would have been better as it is their first stadium show in england still, any DVD from this tour will be awesome, based on footage i've seen so far (especially on the first australian date,)
