Its nice to see SIT still the consensus favorite

Somewhere in time has been and always will be my favorite album ever, by anyone. Period. TBOS is fifth in my listnow after SIT, Powerslave, POM, and Killers. It is a great fucking album. The title track is becoming one of my favorite songs ever.

I listen to all of them before I vote, and I do think about the context of the solo in the song also. I am sure in the ensuing days there will be a non-Adrian solo I will vote for.

I think that TBOS is more of a natural progression from AMOLAD then TFF. As a matter of fact, I think that it would have slotted in better just after BNW. Hell, it's hard to say either way lol.

This is a perfect example of the subjectivity of fan's opinions on Maiden albums. NPFTD is generally not a popular choice for "great" Maiden albums. But it does have its merits and as such, should not be vilified, and anyone who likes it best should have that opinion respected. All Maiden...

Remember, what you think the best Maiden album is, is strictly your opinion. For example, BNW is a GREAT album, but both myself and most Maiden fans consider SIT and SSOASS to be the two best. The Book of Souls is a VERY GOOD to GREAT release, so please do not hate on anyone who might think...

Ok, just listened to S.I.T. ..........It wins again. Can't believe I was thinking that, as good as the solos on TBOS are.

The fact that the chorus isn't a typical soaring operatic one a la CSIT or something is ok. Do you want all Maiden songs to sound the same? I think it fits well with the song. There are other Maiden tunes with more of a "spoken word" or lower register chorus also.
