Re: Candlemass and Helloween: I like both bands, but with Candlemass, I haven't heard the entire album (hence why I didn't vote), and with Helloween, I really don't like Hansen and I only kinda like Kiske. That said, Keeper 1 is one of the best...
Oh, that's surprising. I always thought it would've been a hit of Patience magnitude if it had different lyrics. But the electric and acoustic mix is a little off-putting.

But I get why it would rub people the wrong way. If the lyrics were different, I'm sure the song would've lasted much longer.
Their songs sound much better in a live setting. I find the albums too crisp. Very cool that you got to see them live. They're one of the bands I want to see the most live. :)

Slippery When Wet (the only Bon Jovi albums that deserve to be in this survivor are Keep the Faith and These Days, imo)

I don't think power metal is cheesy nonsense and I can certainly discern differences. But to my ears, the music sounds far more dramatic than anything from Born To Run except Jungleland. Oh, wait, maybe Meeting Across the River, too. So I suppose it comes down to how you yourself define...
