    Blaze Bayley

Maybe he'll do Aces High. There's a fair chance that it won't be much, if any, worse than the current Maiden live rendition. :D (Not to keep beating the dead horse, but)

    Blaze Bayley

Afraid to Shoot Strangers would be a treat and arrangement-/playingwise I believe it would fit the Absolva guys really well! Interesting to see if any of the "deeper" X-Factor/Virtual XI cuts will make it to the Silicon Messiah (or other "solo") sets, or shall they stick with the Virus...

Definitely. Same set in Helsinki. Pretty awesome!

Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

I think the story about how Martin Birch pushed Bruce to the limit (throwing chairs and whatever, if I remember correctly) in order to get the infamous scream out of him for the title track also has a fair chance, but I think the ones listed above are definitely more likely contenders.

    Blaze Bayley

Bummed that I couldn't get to Blaze's show(s) in Helsinki in October. Basically everyone there praised those gigs and as a lover of The X-Factor, it most certainly would've been a treat! The encore (Como Estais Amigos, Virus, The Clansman, Wrathchild, Futureal, Doctor, Doctor & The Angel and the...

IRON MAIDEN: 'Infinite Dreams - The Official Visual History' Book Due In The Fall

The little mistakes listed above serve as a perfect excuse to release an "remastered version" print of the book for the 55th Anniversary in 2030. ;)

    Bruce Dickinson

That's a logical interpretation too, so we'll see... Given Bruce's earlier output and the recent Balls to Picasso reimagining, however I'm quite confident that they want the album to sound sonically great too and there will be some polishing touches etc. But yeah, it remains to be seen!

    18th Studio Album discussion

Yeah, it's not that Nicko would be totally unfit to record a new Maiden album and make the drums sound good, but I wonder if the band would really want that after getting to know & play with Simon for the two parts of RUN FOR YOUR LIVES tour (at the end of the 2026 leg). Not saying they'd have...

    Bruce Dickinson

Is it though? Recording "live" in the sense of having everyone in the same studio, at the same time, isn't anything new to Bruce or Maiden, nor is it exclusive to No Prayer for the Dying. I understood Bruce's words as doing what is essentially a band album, instead of putting lots of...

Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

Very likely indeed. Bruce already hinted at coming back to North America next year with his "day job" or something like that in the last Mandrake Project tour show, so... They'll probably announce something soon enough.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

I agree. It kind of reminds me of how much more Bruce has been out there talking about Maiden (well, marketing Maiden) from 2015 onwards and has, to some extent, been seemingly lot more upfront with a lot of things. Like, he didn't do nearly as much interviews and such promo before The Book of...

Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

It makes the speculation about a very 2022 kind of a tour schedule seem very plausible.

Or how about Daves Of Future Past tour? :D
  14. Randalf

    Bruce Dickinson

Mmh, while I personally wouldn't trade any track from the current set (excluding Frankenstein cover) to a Tattooed Millionaire track, I admit that doing something like Born in '58 in the encore would be fun to see. But yeah, I understand the disappointment, although I personally don't mind (and...
  15. Randalf

    Bruce Dickinson

Yeah. Bruce has had a big say in the Maiden setlists for a long time now and while RUN FOR YOUR LIVES theme kind of sets certain limits (=certain classics occupy majority of the set), I doubt that Bruce has even been too keen on including Flash of the Blade in Maiden sets... Like, he probably...
  16. Randalf

    Bruce Dickinson

I can see your point, but if Bruce is playing one Maiden song in the set, I very much like that it's an extremely rare one. Of course it would be cool if Maiden did surprises like that, but... In the end, it's just one song in the set. They'll most likely do Revelations and possibly one other...
  17. Randalf

    Bruce Dickinson

Yeah, I get why Accident of Birth is the established Bruce Dickinson set opener, but I think that Toltec 7 Arrival intro & Starchildren would work almost just as fine at that.
  18. Randalf

    Bruce Dickinson

Great set. I fucking love the fact that this new era of Bruce doing solo material live est. 2024 came with The Alchemist. I certainly expected Bruce to return with his solo material at some point anyway, but I didn't dare to dream that they'd live debut The Alchemist in 2024, haha! One of the...

Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

Not during one leg of the tour per se, but in 2008 they played in all the listed places! Of course using Ed-Force 1 for the first leg of the 2008 tour made it a lot more convenient schedulewise than it otherwise would've been.

True, true. Also, noticed that in the post I call the game "quite a Ture" (???) instead of "turd" as was intented, but oh well, gets the point across. :D phone keyboard word suggestions etc...
