Rank the Iron Maiden albums game

I'll agree about Powerslave (honestly, it's a good album, half of which is AMAZING and half of which is nearly forgettable), and maybe I'll even give you that Brave New World's more of a top 5 than a number 2, but I will fight you to the death over SSOASS :P

Iron Maiden Survivor 2010 finished: Hallowed remains champion

Re: Iron Maiden Survivor 2010: Piece Of Mind round 2 (Aug 30-31) Nooooo die with your boots is my number 3 song on this album after revelations and still life! :P WHY MUST YOU ALL DESTROY WHAT I LOVE!

    Wildest Dreams

Re: 'Wildest Dreams' I'm going to tell you right now, I just finished college and today was my day with my family partying up celebrating the whole process of finishing up what is essentially the last piece of something that might be considered childhood by societal standards. Let me tell...

    Next year's tour speculation thread

I took my good friend to his first Maiden show in June, and he enjoyed the hell out of it, but what sold him on how great Maiden is, was definitely Running Free. That kind of call and response for a new fan blows em away every time. Plus, Bruce kinda gets to do his band introduction thing, and...

    Tap Legion's Eddie artwork

Man, that's some coooooool stuff. Eddie is always a good muse for some hyper detailed art.

    favourite 3 consecutive songs?

Ah yes, the three slightly overlooked (I wouldn't say underrated as nothing on NotB can really be considered so) gems of the golden era. The Prisoner is a top 5 song for me for sure. Have you guys seen when Bruce performed it with Skunkworks? That was a sweet version!

Rank the Iron Maiden albums game

I think we're finally getting close to the general order of things. I mean they're all going to continue to shift a place or two each time, but I somehow doubt that those on the bottom are going to make it to the top at this point.

    OFFICIAL tour thread. SPOILERS inside!

Dear mighty space coyote, please let Maiden let Fear of the Dark take a break for one tour. Signed, A fan who loves Maiden and has seen Fear of the Dark 4 times live, which is as much as he's seen any iron maiden song except "Iron Maiden"

Perfect Album For Each Era: NOTB, POM, PS

This one sucks. It's unfair because, I mean I feel like an asshole for leaving some of their greatest songs out, but it has to be done. Also if I see Gangland on any of these lists, I'm having you committed. Powerslave gets hurt in this grouping, as normally I'd of course have Aces High and 2...

    Iron Maiden

Re: Daily Song: Iron Maiden 9/10 for the namesake. Honestly. But I'm totally in love with the soundhouse tapes version as opposed to the album version, it (like the version of Prowler) is raw and fresh and I'd give that a 10/10

Perfect Album For Each Era: SIT, SSOASS

I hate this topic because it breaks my heart to tear up two of my favorite albums, ever. That said, it's also difficult because in order to do this properly, you kinda have to kill the concept album vibe of SSOASS, so here goes: Caught Somewhere in Tiiiiiiiiiiime Wasted Years Moonchild Infinite...

Perfect Album For Each Era: NPFTD, FOTD

Honestly if you made these two albums into one album, it'd actually be a pretty solid effort by maiden standards: Be Quick or Be Dead From Here to Eternity Afraid to Shoot Strangers (pretty good 1-2-3 punch if you ask me) Childhood's End Public Enema Number One Bring Your Daughter to the...

    favourite 3 consecutive songs?

Echoing Fatboy: Die With Your Boots On, The Trooper, Still Life But I will give The X Factor some credit, kicking off the Blaze era with Sign of the Cross, Lord of the Flies, and Man on the Edge (literally something for everybody, if they could stop being butthurt about Bruce being gone) is...

Fairly tough, but I feel confident in saying Powerslave.

    Next year's tour speculation thread

You make a valid point. I'd be willing to swap places on Coming Home with TNOTB. So they'll come back in with TNOTB and then Bruce will talk to the crowd about touring and stuff, thus Coming Home. Then they'll close close with Hallowed. Also like it's been stated, pretty hard to not imagine...

    Best Track by Track

Much tougher than the worst track by track, obviously, since Maiden have so much great material. I'm going to throw Fear of the Dark on the end anyway because well, even though I'm tired of it live, it is obviously one of their greatest songs. 1. Caught Somewhere in Time (sorry Moonchild, you...
