If Maiden get inducted to the RnR HoF...

It's really idiotic that Maiden didn't make it into HOF again.

Why Judas Priest aren't as popular as Iron Maiden?

My answer to the thread: Maiden is much more diligent as a live act.

Why Judas Priest aren't as popular as Iron Maiden?

I think Maiden was much more in the limelight than Priest in their homeland (Britain). Priest were nowhere near as successful there.

    Rush - 2112 vs. Rainbow - Rising?

Which rock classic from 1976 is more beloved here? Although I am a big Rush fan, Rising easily trumps 2112 in my book.

    Maiden on the radio

Planet Rock is a very good radio station and I listen it online quite often (and I’m not from Britain). Here you can see its entire playlist daily: https://onlineradiobox.com/uk/planetrock/playlist/?lang=en It seems PR plays at least 3 Maiden tunes per day and the tunes are from all eras, not...

1988: SSoaSS or O:M or AJFA?

This album from 1988 is a real ass-kicker: When it comes to Riot people are generally familiar with "Fire Down Under" but I think ThunderSteel easily kicks its ass.

    Worldwide album sales

Yep, the introduction of synths definitely disappointed a lot of metal fans in America. It was probably the time period when Metallica (and Megadeth and Slayer too) started to dominate over IM in terms of appeal and popularity to American metalheads.

SIT a bigger seller than Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind and Powerslave? Hardly possible.

    Worldwide album sales

Sabbath in America? Yes. In Europe? No way. Maiden is much more successful. Black Sabbath (Ozzy era) were never that big in Europe, unlike America. And I'm saying it as a Sabbath and Maiden fan from mainland Europe. And it's interesting that Ozzy solo was commercially more successful than Black...

    Worldwide album sales

https://chartmasters.org/2021/11/iron-maiden-albums-and-songs-sales/ RIAA is not right. The Number of the Beast has sold over 2 million copies in the US. Piece of Mind too.

Which band is more influential on Iron Maiden: Sabbath or Purple?

Maiden's style of heavy metal sounds quite different than Sabbath's. Early Black Sabbath music is mostly based on very heavy guitar riffs, while heavy riffs are not a very prominent feature of Maiden's general metal sound. So riff-wise Black Sabbath are significantly heavier than Maiden...

Which band is more influential on Iron Maiden: Sabbath or Purple?

I'd say that they were also a bit influenced by Rush.
