The top 3 is basically Metal Riffing 101 lol. All songs that redefined the genre. “Holy Wars” has one of my favorite riffs ever, although I always felt that “The Punishment Due” wasn’t quite as strong as the first two minutes. Still a great song though.
I’ve been in the same boat and what I discovered is that for me it depends on resolution. I love the cover if you blow it up real big.
Yeah, it’s pretty easily the weakest of the three single covers IMO. But we’ll see how it does in about nine rounds.
Maybe it’s down to the fact that CIPWM and...
You only missed three out of the first twenty ladders! There's plenty of the game left to join in on! I missed the early parts of MindRuler's album cup and I still had a great time once I started participating.
3 "The Clairvoyant" +3
2 Powerslave +2
1 A Matter of Life and Death +1
0 Behind the Iron Curtain
0 Ed Hunter
0 "Women in Uniform"
Way better round! I think we can write off Behind the Iron Curtain and Ed Hunter, but otherwise these are some classic Iron Maiden covers. "Women in Uniform" is...

That's as may be, but you can't go and subtract points from it! :p
The corrected tally:
31"The Evil That Men Do" +3
17 En Vivo! +1
9 Beast over Hammersmith +2
8 "Out of the Silent Planet" [alt.]
6 "Lord of the Flies"
1 Video Pieces
Rush
Fly by Night (1975)
1. Anthem - The needle drops and immediately we are flung into a way busier, more complex piece than anything on the previous album. Neil Peart is absolutely running circles around Rutsey across this whole track, it's insane. A song like "Anthem" would be 1/10th of what...
It looks like the top 2 are secure, but that wildcard #3 could very quickly change with another voter or three. This is one of the reasons I was excited for this game; as much as we can usually agree on what's an S tier Maiden cover verses an F, some people get something different out of these...
Man, this is the most interesting round yet. Everyone is voting for something different and it’s the first round where all 6 covers have received points!
3 "The Evil That Men Do" +3
2 En Vivo! +2
1 Video Pieces +1
0 "Out of the Silent Planet" [alt.]
0 Beast over Hammersmith
0 "Lord of the Flies"
Jesus Christ, another shitty round. "The Evil That Men Do" is awesome; all three of Riggs's SSOASS single covers are great. This one might be my...

Seems like all of my friends have been diving into Rush lately and so I've decided to join them. Rush is a band I've always liked, one of my favorites when I was listening to classic rock radio and a band my dad loves too. My uncle also had a burnt CD copy of Retrospective I that I used to play...

Much less stacked than the previous ladder. I’ve always liked Donington’s remastered cover, granted it got lucky here because the...

I used to love the En Vivo! cover but over time I’ve come to prefer Rock in Rio’s. We’ll see how well one of the does in just a couple ladders.
Participation has kind of died down so I’m happy to update today unless some of the previous game’s regulars wanna pop in! @Magnus @Lamia020281...
Yeah I gotta be honest, I didn’t expect BNW to be as popular as it must be. I kinda thought BotB was up @Azas ’s alley. I’ve always thought it wasn’t an amazing cover, but it was a fun one for a great compilation.
