Ok. Message received. Opinion not welcome here.
Last time I checked, forums were a place of discussion and debate.
I still love Maiden. But not unconditionally.
I would be happy if Maiden retired in the next few years. That might be a weird thing to say as a massive Maiden fan. It’s just how I feel.
I will still see them live when I can, but I hope they don’t drag things out too long.
I noped out of buying Maiden shirts in 2013 when I saw the prices for the Maiden England tour t shirts.
To be honest, I don’t really like wearing Maiden shirts anyway. I’m not embarrassed by my love of the band, but I am embarrassed by the design of some of the shirts!
As I said in the Powerslave thread, this is a wasted opportunity. UFO, Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple and Hawkwind (plus others) have all put out great boxsets to celebrate classic albums. Where are the Hammersmith shows?
If anyone asks me what annoys me most about Maiden in 2025, it would be their...
FFS. Just look at how other bands have treated their classic live albums. UFO, Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple and Hawkwind. They all put out incredible boxsets.
This is such a missed opportunity to put out a boxset to celebrate this iconic live album. Lame. Seriously lame.
I go back and forth with Senjutsu. There are some days I think it is a great album and others where I just don’t get it. I still love Stratego, The Writing on the Wall, The Parchment and Hell on Earth. They are incredible tracks. The rest are hit and miss.
Much like The Book of Souls, Senjutsu...
Mother Russia
Age of Innocence
Quest for Fire
Hooks in You
Empire of the Clouds
These are just songs that I struggle to connect with on multiple levels.
I love the fact that the guitarists replicated the original solos as faithfully as they could. It reminds me of when my mates and I were growing up and we would transcribed classic solos note for note. What a great tribute to Davey and H.
