RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

3 positives: 1. Maiden will continue existing in 2027 and beyond, never doubted personally but its still a relief to get an official statement and put that 10-20% possibility of retirement out of mind 2. No Prayer For The Dying will get representation again, come on! Even though its probably...

    The Future Past Tour 2024

Amusing message next to your profile pic - a melancholic guy accepting his fate. Well, at least you´re not the First Maiden Gig Starter Pack -individual - go berserk only during FOTD and Trooper.

    The Future Past Tour 2024

Well, maybe. At least Wasted Years has been crossing the toe over the overplayed territory line in recent years. No need to play that one after this tour I´d say. HCW was overplayed from its release until 2003, then it has been benched for quite some time and long enough to be actually quite...

    The Future Past Tour 2024

Listened 6 songs and Nicky already sounded better than any of last year I´ve heard. Certainly promising for the future. They speeded up the tempo a notch as well.

    Oasis

And incidentally, on his 50th as well. But yeah, prices getting out of control. Maiden is the only band I could pay, say, 150-200 euros and even that would have to include setlist swarming of rarities.

    The Future Past Tour 2024

In Chief Clancy Wiggum´s voice: "No setlist changes, just as I suspected" Should be full gig on YouTube in 12 hours, if not, checking about third of a gig worth of individual songs to see how the boys did.

    The Future Past Tour 2024

You know its the first gig of the tour when it takes 3 minutes to turn the page  or at least I presume so as it it my first time here when a new leg kicks off.

    Bruce Dickinson

I see his bedtime habits have not changed much since the late 80s / early 90s. I recall reading an interview from that era when he was asked out of curiosity when he usually wakes up because he doesn´t seem like a typical rock n roll bloke who rolls out of sofa at 4 in the afternoon and sniffs...

    The Future Past Tour 2024

Possibly. His leg may have tendency to break easier if it has weakened multiple times. I don´t know if its right or left leg but he definitely hurt one during towards the tail end of Fear of the Dark tour. There is footage of him in bandages.

Pick the three best performed songs from Beast Over Hammersmith

Wrathchild - Tight and ferocious, nice little extra melodies here and there. By the time of the scream in the middle I bet those who saw Bruce live for the first time and had doubts or concerns beforehand were won over Total Eclipse - Bruce attacking the lyrics with menace and delivers raw...

    Iron Maiden pictures

World Slavery Tour 1984/85 kicked off exactly 40 years ago in Warsaw (Churchill´s Speech at around 8.30pm local time, as we learn from Behind The Iron Curtain -documentary).

    Iron Maiden pictures

Not sure if I have the rights to post this but here goes nothing anyway... Maiden performing "The Trooper" on a Bruce Dickinson solo show at London Astoria, June 27th 1990. Also, it was Janick´s first, however unofficial, performance in Maiden.

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

Yeah I couldn't really see a point in the Powerslave / LAD theme again either but felt compelled to give my 50 cents on the topic as heated discussion on the two aforementioned albums took place. Not my idea. All career representing setlist would make the most sense, doing so from the start...

    Most overrated Maiden album?

7th Son. Barely and just about makes it into top ten. Too fantasy type for my taste, which is more rock n roll. For example if I got a chance to go see a gig in 7th Son Tour or No Prayer On The Road, I'd pick the latter.

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

Either I failed to elaborate or you were unable to read between the lines. Probably a bit of both, as those two paragraphs were meant to be a separate thing you see. What I meant is that should they choose to do the LAD thing again which I sincerely hope is not the case, then No Aces, yes middle...

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

True, and in a couple of weeks its been 40 years since World Slavery Tour, their biggest, kicked off, so I wouldn't read too much into it. My money is still on all career spanning tour, which is a bit difficult to represent with only 15 songs admittedly, but still. As someone rightly pointed on...

How do you like Dennis Strattons impact on Maiden?

Adrian was probably the better option in the long run, but nothing against Dennis playing in the Killers album and tour. Probably wrong type of player for Maiden (then again, what is right), but they were in such a hurry to find another guitarist before going to the studio to record the debut...

    Short-answer questions

Since the Ed Hunter Tour was at full swing this time around 25 years ago, a question related to that subject. Anyone who has heard the El Paso gig (August 5th 1999), can you answer: Davey didn´t play any solos due to broken finger so did Adrian and Janick fill in or was there simply just...

    Bruce Dickinson

Had the three of them met, would have been a golden opportunity to go to the audience and wear this shirt. Finally found a context for that one eh. After hiccoughing myself to seriousness, I guess Bruce and Paul have met before, but last time probably around 1981.
