Meme dumps are exclusive to the meme thread. Occasional memes are allowed on the funny pictures thread. This works for me.

I highly doubt @Diesel 11 posts memes just for the sake of posting memes. He just collects a bunch of stuff that he finds funny and wants to share and posts them all in one go. It doesn't bother me that you guys think it's spam and don't like it, but I also don't like the idea of quiting it...

Quantity will always be a problem though. I maintain my suggestion to keep both threads open. It is intended to be a meme dump anyway, so, if anything, it'll keep that type of spam from spreading to other parts of the forum.

No. A meme is something that's stripped of its original context and applied to other types of situations. For a meme to happen, it needs to be a recurring joke.

On the aggression part, yes, I was talking about last night. Sorry if I didn't make that clearer. However, I'm still trying to understand how closing the threads for this long was a good idea. When Night Prowler said he was closing them for everyone to cool off, I figured they would be reopened...
