I am sure a good number of touts join the FC just to have access to the presales. It is nice that Maiden are offering that early access to ticket sales to FC members, but sadly it does not seem to serve those fans anymore.

Making things personal, aren’t we? Maiden are one of the many bands I enjoy (enough to write reviews about their gigs for a webzine :)); I used to try and see them live twice per tour but with the current prices that is becoming less appealing and I’d rather spend that money to see 2 or 3 gigs...

I finally read the whole thing yesterday and really enjoyed the interview. I quite liked the insight given on the plan B of having Simon as a drummer just in case things went wrong with Nicko on The Future Past tour because otherwise insurers would not have underwritten the tour.
