The hotel packages are quite expensive too. Prices start at £290 per person (including the ticket), so that means they are charging a lot for a double room with buffet breakfast.
I saw AC/DC for the first time on that tour (I went to one of the three shows in Madrid that were filmed for the No Bull live video) and I still have to see a more spectacular start of a show:

Joking aside, I guess booking San Siro costs and arm and a leg and there might have been a bidding war between Italian promoters to secure the Maiden gig.
