Upcoming limited Powerslave picture anniversary vinyl

The 2015 remasters were the last batch of remasters to be released on CD. As far as I’m aware these are the latest versions of the albums currently available. I may be wrong but I thought the last vinyl re releases came out before 2015.

Simon Dawson is the new drummer

lol, Steve’s pub band has recorded 2 albums and toured the world following iron maiden. Don’t think joes career offers him more than that at the moment.

Jesus it was only an idea, calm down buttercup

Simon Dawson is the new drummer

I wonder if Joe could step into British lion as the drummer now Simon has moved over to Maiden? This could mean Joe gets to play with Steve and they can see how they gel whilst Simon covers for 2025 and if all goes well with Joe in BL then he then takes over from Simon in Maiden in 2026. That...

Simon Dawson is the new drummer

Please, that’s a little dramatic isn’t it. Can’t believe so many people are up in arms about this and being quite disrespectful. Look,Simon is a professional drummer who’s played with Steve for more that 12 years. The rest of Maiden are all pros so I’m sure they can all play iron maiden songs...

Simon Dawson is the new drummer

And typical Harris has got Maiden from the pubs of the East end of London to being one of the biggest bands on the planet.

    Nicko McBrain retires

I don’t think they did. I think they were all hoping (Nicko included) that he would see out the 50th anniversary tour too. IMO I think Nicko has realised quite recently, in the last couple of months maybe, that he has to hang it up. It could be doctors orders as there may be a further issue...

Simon Dawson is the new drummer

Makes total sense. No way at this stage would Steve get someone in that he’s never played with. This also makes me think this is definitely a stepping stone appointment to honour the run for your lives tour. I definitely think when this tour is done we might see a different Maiden. Maybe a...

    Nicko McBrain retires

Wow, gonna be strange seeing them next year now without Nicko. I totally get his reasons for this but it has come as a bit of a surprise as I always imagined the band would bow out together, ie if one of them stops they all stop. I can only imagine that as the run for your lives tour has...

    Uriah Heep

At least these guys are being honest with what a farewell tour actually means and not duping the fans into thinking it will be the last time ever you could see them.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

I think your right to a certain extent but Maiden, like KISS are a bunch of old men who are doing things they want based on a bygone age. These legacy acts have been around so long they don’t need to compete with the stage shows put on by young girls more than 3 decades younger. Let’s face...

    Bruce's Singing

He was more than passable in the 80’s and his voice to my ears was fine after the world slavery tour. I hear fans online always talk about how shot his voice was from 1985 and through the 90’s. And to me that’s just a load of bollocks. Bruce sings superbly on Seventh son and it was hearing...

Have you ever fundamentally changed your opinion on any Maiden album over a span of years?

My biggest change of opinion has been for the final frontier. I never hated it when it came out but I tried my best at the time to enjoy it but just found it over long and quite plodding. Just something about it never clicked. These days I absolutely love it. Starblind, the talisman and where...

    Bruce's Singing

lol, utter garbage. I’m all for people expressing their own opinions and usually I don’t care if someone’s opinion is different to mine but this statement is preposterous. So Bruce only sang well for 1.5 years in the whole of his time with Maiden in the 80’s.:facepalm:

    Bruce's Singing

Also, I don’t listen to a ton of bootlegs so to me I couldn’t care less if he had a few off nights on a tour. As long as I’m happy with his voice on official releases and when I’m at the gigs I actually attend then it’s all good. I’ve seen maiden over 30 times across all tours since the...

    Bruce's Singing

Totally agree with this. As he gets older his voice has eroded a bit but not too a huge degree to me. As an example I have noticed he sounds slightly rough and at some points he’s straining to hit the notes on a lot of the final frontier album but I put that down to age plus less production on...

    Bruce's Singing

You are probably right about the technical aspects of Bruce not hitting notes or not reaching the correct pitch etc but to my ears he sounds perfectly fine on both live after death and maiden England. Honestly, 30+ years ago when I first got into Maiden and started buying their albums I never...
