Saw Kiss in Birmingham last night, and had an absolute wail of a time. Say what you like about how many farewell tours they've done, but they're still hugely entertaining and put one of the best arena rock shows. When the inevitable reunion tour comes around, I'll be there.

Even in that Drum Tour video they released today, he sounded old. Like his voice just seemed a lot older than what I'm used to hearing from Nicko. I know he is 71, but it's always a shock when you realise your musical heroes aren't immortal or invincible.

You have a point, but the difference is last year was their first tour in three years so that was kinda to be expected. Nicko is simplifying drum lines that he performed perfectly normally less than year ago.
From the sound of the video, which is just abysmal, it sounds like Nicko is doing the drum fills in the middle of CSIT before Dave's solo, which I mentioned a few pages ago. I can't really tell though honestly.
With the talk of Nicko simplifying drum beats. I noticed that the lighting in CSIT looks like it had been cued for the original fills. So he must have at least performed them during rehearsals to at least an acceptable level for them to program the lighting for it. Is it just a case of first...
From watching some videos, I don't think I've seen the band more concentrated on playing the music. I suspect it must be daunting performing complex songs for the first time ever or for the first time in 35 years, and the monitoring issues probably didn't help. Hopefully they'll be able loosen...
Whatever is played, I have a feeling that this will be a tour with a setlist with a majority of songs I have yet to hear live. That in itself is making me incredibly excited.
