I think the stage show and production for the Future Past Tour were excellent. You got 3 Eddies, a sci-fi gun fight, and for the first time ever video screens which were used for very cool effects, like showing the videos for The Writing on the Wall and Can I Play with Madness. You also got...
Has Dave ever done anything band-wise outside of Maiden? He’s had a steady gig since 1975! (Except for a brief period when Dennis Wilcox got him fired.)
Do you think Bruce's 90s albums with Roy Z and Adrian were better or worse than Maiden's 90s albums with Blaze? I love Maiden, but Bruce kicked their asses in that period. I would kind of like to visit an alternative reality where the Bruce-Roy Z-Adrian band continued for a few more albums...
“These days” was placed after “Maiden”, thus referring to Maiden. You seem determined to $#!+ on this thread for some reason. Hope you enjoy some new music from either party.
I know there is no new Maiden album and tour announced yet. The first post of this thread says that the poll assumes that Maiden will have a new album and tour in 2024 or 2025. I think that's a safe assumption and doesn't make the poll "weird".
If the assumption turns out to be wrong, no big...
Looks like Maiden is cruising toward a solid win. I thought it would be closer. Personally I voted for Bruce, even though Maiden is my favorite band of all time, barely beating out King Crimson.
Just at this point I’d rather get some new Bruce-Roy Z metal for variety. The Bruce-Roy Z band...
Yep. Great album, very accessible. It gets knocked because Adrian isn't on it, but it's just as good as Accident of Birth and The Chemical Wedding. I used to listen to it in the gym all the time when I worked out.
Since it will be a Guns N’ Roses crowd that will be indifferent to Iron Maiden no matter what they play, the boys should do something goofy like play Virtual XI in its entirety.
Shouldn't be all about money. In any case, Maiden can make plenty of money doing things their way. Just my opinion. Don't think Rod cares about my opinion, though!
The merch will sell probably for centuries. That's all the retirement plan they need. No need to be greedy and cheapen yourself by being a "brand". I'm sure Bruce hates that label.
LOL, raking in the bucks! I remember Paul Di'Anno saying Maiden is just a money machine. I don't agree with that, but stuff like this is a little cringeworthy, in my opinion. But hey, maybe people enjoy it, so whatever..
Adrian was being a pain in the ass for Steve in 1987-1988. First he didn’t want to play Alexander, then he didn’t want to play at a fast tempo. So Steve fired his ass.
Steve has never hesitated to fire great musicians if they weren’t in line with his vision. He fired Dave, Paul, Clive, and...
