    18th Studio Album discussion

I hope you're right. This was Steve's answer in March this year: ''We are not sure. We don't know, do you? We haven't really planned a new album yet. But we still have a lot of tour going so idk Let's see. I get ideas all the time. I guess I'm lucky you know, I have so many ideas I don't know if...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

https://www.instagram.com/imbnoticias/reel/DPAKI64jQ54/ The promo for the Resurrection Fest show uses live audio of ''Killers'' from the current tour and it is great. It also sounds official?

Album Cover Art Cup <<WINNER: Bell Witch - Mirror Reaper >>

Yes' Relayer has a curious choice of colors, but it works so well for the idea. Their colorful and cartoonish covers are a cool trademark. Candelmass' Ancient Dreams is pure landscape and it's nice ofc. Both are captivating in their own way.

    Who got 'The X Factor'?

Judgement Day is the strongest (especially the instrumental section) and a proper album song, but for a better variety (it's like Man On The Edge) - definitely the very nice Justice Of The Peace. And it's a Dave song. I Live My Way sounds like a B-side the most.

    Empire Of The Clouds

Kevin shared the notes for this song (called ''Bruce's song'') from his notebook during the recordings of the album: Cool. It would be nice to see more. The one for SJ was really curious.

Album Cover Art Cup <<WINNER: Bell Witch - Mirror Reaper >>

I'm not a fan of this Round. I can appreciate the arts of Script For A Jester's Tear and Heads Or Tales, but that's not my preferred art style at all. And I don't think they're strong anyway. Impression, yes. Magnum's Chase Dragon is old school futuristic and the colors work, but it's also not...

    18th Studio Album discussion

Well said. Carried away indeed, the 2027 break should be a key. But Steve also added: ''I dunno, is the answer to that''. This is a usually ambiguous and expected answer, especially for Maiden's way of working. So this should be good. Regarding the lack of time, the interviewer added that he...

    General album artwork appreciation

I think Helloween's 2 Reunion albums arts deserve a praise, not only for the style. The artist Eliran Kantor too. I wonder if he does a full art for each band. Kudos. His Testament cover (Titans Of Creation) from a couple of years ago is epic too. Like perfect metal covers, full of colors...

    NOW PLAYING

Helloween - Giants On The Run & Skyfall Two of their best title tracks! Yes, ''Skyfall'' will always be like a title track to their self-titled album, it has connections with the album cover. Two songs that are like fairytales. :) edit: it's odd, but out of the 17 albums, only 6-7 have title...

I guess it's a fair enough comparison with the SW lineup, although it's different (not just the style), a true band and a much more stable project. For Maiden, they all have a say, but Steve is the boss. And maybe Bruce needs such fresh challenges every now and then. This. Steve being reluctant...

    Bruce Dickinson

In this interview - Bruce said that his new album might contain and song co-written by his son. He praised his songwriting skills and said that he just needs to add lyrics.

Most likely. I agree about the levels of enthusiasm, the need for an outlet (he could have released 1 or 2 more solo albums since 2005, he even wanted to release in 2001) and the split focus (which shouldn't be the case, it's a mistake), but why are you comparing younger guitarists with legends...

Good remark. He is generally enthusiastic though, which is always good. And Steve really liked his new solo ideas (called them his best ever!), so why not Maiden-ized some of them with him. Makes sense, fingers crossed.

Maidenfans Best Albums of the Millennium: 2009

HammerFall's No Sacrifice, No Victory is the clear winner for me. I think it's an underrated album of theirs as a whole piece, with a bit of a hard rock feel to say, and with no fillers, every songs brings something different. A return to form. The closer ''One Of A Kind'' is a forgotten gem...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Oh yeah, thanks for the correction. Still cool and something noticeable for this special/potentially one of their biggest show. If they were to retire, this show could have been with surprises (maybe setlist, lineup, although it's not easy to bring old classic bands); like they did in 2014 with...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Even a website? Wow. It seems they wanted to do a bigger show than London - and Knebworth (over 100,000?) will be like Download, but I expected a lot more from the lineup. And since it's promoted as a special show, what will it be? The setlist, special guests? Or nothing more... The capacity...

    RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

And yet, they released a video statement from Dave during the last tour (not with all band members) to say how he/they enjoyed the tour. Since Steve is not that sure about writing another album, then he should not be thinking about any more lineup changes. That would be a big mistake...
