NO PRAYER FOR THE DYING - Your thoughts…

I'd go so far as to say any words other than "better watch out, cos I'm the assassin"

Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

Not a fan of the playing a classic album in the original running order, have seen a few bands do this, and the order doesn't really suit a gig momentum a lot of the time, plus there's no element of surprise. Maiden would probably do TNOTB, which might soften the blow, because you've got 3...

Maidenfans Best Albums of the Millennium: 2005

Angel of Retribution was a real good comeback album ruined by the preposterous Loch Ness. Tyranny of Souls is solid enough, some great stuff on it, but a good few non-entities like Believil, River of No Return and Soul Intruders. Don't know any of the rest of the albums

So much for Nicko remaining a member of the band

Nicko retired of his own free will because he deemed himself not fit enough to be able to do the job.

Maidenfans Best Albums of the Millennium: 2004

The System has Failed is great, I remember enjoying Inferno, but haven't listened to it since probably 2004. Saw both bands on that tour. Think I may have Master of the Moon but remember it being shit.

Maiden have opened with 3 in a row from the new record quite a few times.

Iron Maiden in the strangest places

re: Be Quick or Be Dead was a number 2 or 3 single in the UK so it certainly wouldn't be that outlandish that someone of a certain age in the UK would be able to identify it.

    Short-answer questions

It also shows my point about albums being released on the same day of the week is wrong as Animal Magnetism is released on the Friday.

    Anthrax

The big 4 was a term that came about because they were the 4 bands that got signed to major labels.

    Bruce Dickinson

Finally got my copy of MBTP, only listened up to Laughing in the Hiding Bush so far. Is there a weird edit in the final chorus of Gods of War or did my CD just skip  I think this sort of thing shows that a lot of the talk about good and bad production on forums is total bullshit, a song...

    Short-answer questions

I think British Steel or some other big album was released on the 14th, and you would have to imagine all albums came out on the same day of the week

    Bruce Dickinson

They used to record in the spring and release in September-ish prior to the last 2 albums which were only delayed by Bruce's cancer and covid. Saying that I can't see Maiden and Bruce going into the studio one after the other in early 2026.

    18th Studio Album discussion

I think most tours have had about the same percentage of the show being from the current album as was from Senjustu on FP tour.

    Ozzy Osbourne (1948-2025)

Sharon outright said it was to "give him something to live for", which asks the question, what was going to happen to his mental state after the gig was over?

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

But there wasn't much of an internet forum culture, with people posting realtime comments from gigs they weren't at, nor a generation of people bred on the toxicity of forums/social media. The star wars-ification of metal is sad to see, we're only just short of someone posting that Bruce has...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

The vocals aren't much better on LAD, he's struggling with the timing to say the words these days, but he was still having trouble with the pitch back then. The pace they were playing it and Fear of the Dark on the post covid leg of Legacy of the Beast was a much, much bigger issue

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

I was there in Paris, and if you're coming out of the show thinking "Aces high was fucking terrible. And I mean fucking terrible. A disaster.", over what, a few lines of vocals being not great?, then maybe take a break from internet forums, social media etc. because it's not doing you any good...
