BLACK SABBATH DISCOGRAPHY RANKING GAME: #10 REVEALED

It’s a sad day to be reflecting on such a poor album, but “it is what it is innit.” There is not a single great song here. I don’t think there’s even a single good song here.

Bayley-era Maiden vs. Martin-era Black Sabbath vs. Ripper-era Judas Priest?

Tony Martin stands head and shoulders above the other two in terms of vocal performance. He's easily the most talented. The Sabbath albums with Martin were mostly good-to-great, even if they will never be as memorable as the Ozzy or Dio material. Blaze still existed within Maiden, and Maiden...

    Ozzy Osbourne (1948-2025)

There will never be another Ozzy. His voice is iconic, his persona is legendary, he helped build heavy metal. Rest In Peace, you maniac.

    Black Sabbath

The man was an absolute legend. He'll never be my favorite vocalist, but he was (and will remain) the most famous metal vocalist to ever live. RIP.

Maidenfans Best Album of The Millennium: 2002 FINAL ROUND

Same here as far as nostalgia. Killing the Dragon was technically my Dio album, it just came out after I had heard all of his earlier material. I remember the era and shows fondly, but I just don’t think the material holds up. I actually really like Magica. It’s definitely bloated and silly...

Maidenfans Best Album of The Millennium: 2002 FINAL ROUND

The Odyssey deserves to win this round, and heartily. Also voting for Century Child and Deliverance, as both deserve to be in the top 3. The Glass Prison is the best song featured in this round not written by Michael Romeo or Mikael Akerfeldt, even if the rest of the album is meh. I actually...

    USA Politics

Mostly, I just find Alice's quote to be profoundly silly. Where did this happen? WTF is he talking about? Is he claiming sexual harassment in the workplace is a "woke" staple? Is it "woke" to have HR at your company? He's not making the point he thinks he is here, and, as usual with most...

Being a Chicagoan, the pope is very familiar with being shit on by the Bears.

rate all 17 Maiden albums best to worst

I fail to see how the album with an 18 minute song using the band’s first instance of piano is “by numbers”.

Maidenfans Best Albums of the Millenium: 2001

Alright, I love Khanelot and this album, but I will no longer vote for it over Blackwater Park (which deserves to win this year by a mile).

This is the reason why I fell off of SOAD after Toxicity. That dude's obnoxious voice became as prominent as Serj.

BLACK SABBATH DISCOGRAPHY RANKING GAME: #10 REVEALED

Yeah, this is another case of a "meh" album that has still been ranked too low. Born Again and Technical Ecstasy are certainly worse for me. I don't have much to say about Seventh Star. Glenn Hughes is not a fit. There's some decent material here and I like Glenn, but the two things just don't...

Kevin Shirley - What do you dislike about his work with Maiden? (if you do)

Yeah, I'd kill to hear Maiden with a production like that.

    Bruce Dickinson

I'll be honest, I don't know the original well enough to know what's been added here. Is that arpeggio in the second half of the verse new?

Maidenfans Best Albums of the Millenium: 2001

This series is awesome. It's really weird to hear a guy like Greg, who has basically spent his career leaving space for big personality musicians, playing something as intricate and wacky as SOAD. I actually really like his simplified verse parts.

Maidenfans Best Albums of the Millenium: 2001

Good shitpost! If you legitimately cannot hear the quality in at least the three singles (Chop Suey, Toxicity, and Aerials), but think that the 79 minutes of edgelord bro prog on Lateralus is genius then you are beyond help.

I think Bruce is actually doing better with Aces due to the original tempo. It’s an impossible song to sing, but I think it was even harder at Nicko’s slower tempo on Legacy. I think we can all stop slagging off the 67 year old guy who can perform better than anybody with an anonymous account...

Maidenfans Best Albums of the Millenium: 2001

Just listened to Toxicity for the first time in at least 20 years. Wow, is it not what I remember (and also it's exactly what I remember). Incredible Songs: Chop Suey, Toxicity, Aerials (they're singles for a reason), Science Great Songs: Deer Dance, ATWA Bad Songs: the other 9 songs

The Legend of Dio - in 10 Songs!

The entirety of Dio's performing in 10 songs? Hmm. I'll give that a go. 1. Catch the Rainbow 2. Stargazer 3. Kill the King 4. Children of the Sea 5. The Sign of the Southern Cross 6. Rainbow in the Dark 7. The Last in Line 8. All the Fools Sailed Away 9. This Is Your Life 10. Bible Black
