We’ll see what the competition looks like for future years, but I can see a Maiden album losing out from the top spot again. The fan base is pretty divided on the reunion albums going forward except for AMOLAD. I don’t think any other Dream Theater album is going to take a top spot, though...

Would’ve certainly been Maiden’s best instrumental! Unfortunately the vocals make it a 7/10 at best.

This may explain why I enjoy a lot of what is classified as epic doom while finding most traditional doom a bit boring.

I can clarify! When listening to Iron Maiden instrumentals, my thoughts are “this is pretty cool” and then “but where are the vocals?” When listening to Ktulu or Orion my only thought is: “this is amazing!”

Pulling Teeth and Ides of March don’t count for me. Either way, Ktulu and Orion are two of the finest instrumentals ever written in the genre. Maiden’s instrumentals are just songs without vocals.

I think that’s all valid. Seeing Dream Theater twice within 10 months feels like an extension of the same tour. They absolutely should have altered this tour schedule to allow more time in between.

I have never been to a venue that allows you to bring your own food or drinks inside. Not even water.

Got mine as well in like the 9th row of the main floor! Very excited. Even the good seats weren't super expensive. Not sure if you've been to the venue before, but it's quite small. Even the "nose bleeds" are great!

Riot! and Brand New Eyes are great, and I love After Laughter even though it’s basically a synth-pop record. Everything else they’ve done does nothing for me.
