Nick even limited plays at decent tempos still. I don't think it's on Simon, I think it's very much Adrian and the rest probably insisting on certain tempos
I presume that's partly why Harry started doing this a lot, though he really started doing it when they were still a two guitar band in the 90s.

Dave's solos are mostly better but Janick is a better songwriter than Dave.
Anyway keeping Janick was a brilliant move. No reason for him to go, I love the the three guitarists.
I was thinking on the future past tour when nick was still in the band that Futureal would have been piss easy for him if he played it like the studio version but man on the edge is damn near a thrash beat and would have been maybe impossible for that version of Nicko
I feel like this is the song that really exposed Blazes weaknesses on the album (yeah I know he wrote it). He's a bit all over the place in this one. It should have been swapped out for Judgment Day.
Especially as it's quiet opening chord sequence is identical to Fortunes of War, the track...
Now because it means we have the wonderful reunion lineup (well until Nick just left) having a whole range of songs from Dianno, 80's classic Bruce lineup, the Blaze era and the reunion era to do live. I also think Maiden were never better live than they have been in the second Bruce run.
Plus I was complimentary in my opening post saying Harry was a genius songwriter, and can still craft some good songs to this day and how I actually like most of the songs in the poll, and how I would never even put 10/10 brilliant works like Rime, Trooper or Aces in the poll as they are...
I dislike it mostly because as a fan of Blaze I know that its mostly that and Angel which sunk virtual xi from being a decent album with their repetitiveness and weirdness. Harry helped craft two great songs on that album Clansman and Futureal but also sunk it with two of his absolute worst...
