RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

Nick even limited plays at decent tempos still. I don't think it's on Simon, I think it's very much Adrian and the rest probably insisting on certain tempos

    In defense of Montségur's chorus

I just listened to it and I actually quite like it so I'll give you that.

The best five short rockers Maiden have done since 1990?

    God Futureal is fucking brilliant

Bayley-era Maiden vs. Martin-era Black Sabbath vs. Ripper-era Judas Priest?

No he definitely is now. He wasn't in Maiden because the poor git clearly lacked confidence by the Vxi tour

    Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

I presume that's partly why Harry started doing this a lot, though he really started doing it when they were still a two guitar band in the 90s. From the early 90's- "I've found over the last few albums I've been playing more bass chords than ever, to get the weight. Like when the guitars...

    Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

I think I have read another account of this where Jan offered to leave for the returning Adrian

    Janick's role in post-reunion Maiden

Dave's solos are mostly better but Janick is a better songwriter than Dave. Anyway keeping Janick was a brilliant move. No reason for him to go, I love the the three guitarists.

The best five short rockers Maiden have done since 1990?

I was thinking on the future past tour when nick was still in the band that Futureal would have been piss easy for him if he played it like the studio version but man on the edge is damn near a thrash beat and would have been maybe impossible for that version of Nicko

    Different World

I think it's nostalgia from my youth but I love the chorus

Poll: The strongest 90s Maiden album

I really really like Sign of the cross, lord of the flies, man on the edge, fortunes of War, edge of darkness, judgment of Heaven and a few others.

Poll: The strongest 90s Maiden album

Filler of the Dark, that's why.

    Look For the Truth

I feel like this is the song that really exposed Blazes weaknesses on the album (yeah I know he wrote it). He's a bit all over the place in this one. It should have been swapped out for Judgment Day. Especially as it's quiet opening chord sequence is identical to Fortunes of War, the track...

Poll: The strongest 90s Maiden album

The X Factor if had actual audible rhythm guitar like this edit would have easily won for me

    18th Studio Album discussion

"We really like that live feel, that spontaneity to each track with the recording process..." *album comes out sounding like Virtual XI*

Which is your preferred Maiden era: 1980-1993 vs. 1995-present

Now because it means we have the wonderful reunion lineup (well until Nick just left) having a whole range of songs from Dianno, 80's classic Bruce lineup, the Blaze era and the reunion era to do live. I also think Maiden were never better live than they have been in the second Bruce run.

What's the worst Maiden song where the songwriting credit only has (Harris)?

Plus I was complimentary in my opening post saying Harry was a genius songwriter, and can still craft some good songs to this day and how I actually like most of the songs in the poll, and how I would never even put 10/10 brilliant works like Rime, Trooper or Aces in the poll as they are...

What's the worst Maiden song where the songwriting credit only has (Harris)?

I dislike it mostly because as a fan of Blaze I know that its mostly that and Angel which sunk virtual xi from being a decent album with their repetitiveness and weirdness. Harry helped craft two great songs on that album Clansman and Futureal but also sunk it with two of his absolute worst...
