Interesting chords/key/musical ideas in maiden songs

I'm going to have to relisten to that right now Edit- really interesting. I'm surprised those key changes worked so well.

    Who got 'The X Factor'?

Justice of the peace is awful because of the Steve Age of Innocence style lyrics Judgement Day is great and should have been on the album and I'm convinced it's only not on there because there was already another song with Judgement in the title on the album.

Because that would leave a distinct lack of Futureal

The third Blaze-sung Maiden album: lyrically a fusion of Silicon Messiah and BNW, but musically rooted in BNW?

Playing the songs live 25% faster than the studio versions and not tuning down to accommodate the baritone didn't help

What a fantastic acoustic version of the second best short song Maiden have written since 1998

Changing his solo project name from just BLAZE to Blaze Bayley was the right call I think. Absolva are fine. I really like the studio albums they've made with Blaze so I really appreciate them for helping save Blazes career and do some good work. Live I think they are okay. The drummer is...

Do I think Steve writes samey stuff and a lot of it is too long etc? Yeah Did I still get excited when I saw there was a number of Harris solo tunes on the new album? Yes of course. And The Parchment had a very un Steve, un Maiden like main riff which was pretty different for Maiden. And Hell...

Theyre not masterpieces but I like plenty of the songs on them

It would never have been produced that well. Blaze would never have sounded that good. It would have been produced in Steve's home studio and all the songs would have pointless intros and repetition.

    Blaze Bayley

Blazes voice was outrageously good in the 2000s..listen to as live as it gets

    Futureal

Any of the new Maiden tracks you'd fancy singing? "I quite liked 'Futureal'. When the singer writes a track the melody is a lot more singer-friendly. Some of Steve's songs are a bugger to sing because the words are incredibly awkward. You want to leave out half of them, basically."...

Does anyone have that interview? I vaguely remember it and Bruce was basically saying how refreshing it was to sing lyrics written by (another) singer rather than Steve "shove as many syllables in a line as possible because I'm not a singer" Harris.
