The drama of Edge of Darkness or Blood On the World’s Hands would be next level
Judgement of Heaven would sound amazing with Bruce but as it wasn’t on the TXF tour I cannot see that ever happening.
From V11 I think Lightening Strikes Twice
The setlist is great, I would have loved one more surprise song as I think it was hyped pretty hard. After Icarus it is Maiden by numbers
I am so happy that SOTC and Clansman are in, absolutely love those tracks. That being said as I got into Maiden around the RIR album and subsequently (and...
My setlist prediction had one TBOS song which was Speed of Light. Just listening to Live Chapter and remembering how phenomenal IESF is.
IESF would make a great start to the encore if they play a song from the album
I got into Maiden when I was 16 and around the time Rock In Rio was released so I discovered the Blaze albums later.
TXF is one of mu favourite albums and resonates on a personal level with me. VXI is probably their weakest album (although I do like a few of the tracks), to me it sounds like...
I thought it might quite cool to have the intro played off stage with some imagery going on on stage (if they do the hologram thing) then the band comes on when the song kicks in
Now I read it back maybe swapping Hallowed for Wickerman around would make a lot more sense!
I haven’t put a setlist prediction in so far so here it goes.... below isn’t based on the game worlds.
I guess the only real unusual things about this set list is opening with Hallowed going into Be Quick. Also included From Here to Eternity as my long shot prediction.
I’ve left NOTB out but...
I have been listening to the latest Blaze album on repeat for the past week, absolutely fantastic album, the best since TMWWND.
I haven’t found a song I dislike so far and it offers plenty of replay value. For me it is also better produced than the preceding two albums
I must admit that I...
Saw Blaze tonight at the Camden Underworld. Blaze and the band put on a great show
They played Futereal, Virus, The Angel & The Gambler & Man On The Edge from the Maiden years :)
The Book of Souls (song) is a slab, I love the heavy eastern feel of the main riff. The midsection is pretty full on as well
The opening riff from Montsegur is for me the heaviest riff
Best of reunion albums :
Best opener: If Eternity Should Fail
Most consistent album: Brave New World
Best song: (chose one per album). Navigator, Dance of Death, Greater Good, Talisman, The Book of Souls. The Reunion era is my favourite so my best song list would go on and on
Best production...
Listened again this morning, I think the TBOS tracks translate really well live
However, I do hope that DoG doesn't return in the future. It sounds to me that Bruce really struggles in the verses
