For me
BNW
TBOS
AMOLAD/DOD (DOD gets bonus points which drags it uas I remember listening to the world premiere of a couple of songs on the radio which was an experience)
TFF
I am expecting TBOS part 2 for Senjustu which is fine for me :)
for the “surprising” elements. i think after hearing...
I was lucky enough to see AMOLAD in full but I would personally hope for the tour setlist to mix maybe 5-6 new songs, a couple of deep cuts and classics.
The atmosphere when the classics are played is always amazing
saying that, the best Maiden show (I have seen (out of about 10 gigs) was TBOS...
Has anyone seen anything with regards to IMFC exclusive Shenjustu thing?
i wanna preorder the vinyl and book cd but holding off to see what is in the imfc thing
My guess (as some others have also said) is that part one of the LOTB sections will be swapped out for a new album section
personally i’d prefer a fresh tour supporting the new album but using the theming of LOTB but instead of war, religion etc they did something else.
With the life/death...
I am intrigued by the special box, i’ll make my decision when I see what is in it
I recently started getting albums in vinyl so this will be my first Maiden vinyl also :)
I’ll be streaming most of the time but it would be a cool experience to have my first impressions on a vinyl release
TBOS is one of my favourites and an album that I have regularly played since it came out. The title track is my favourite Maiden song and the fact they dropped this so late in their career only fills me with confidence for the new album.
my initial thoughts on the release
- goes without saying...
After a couple of days and many listens I find myself genuinely enjoying the song a lot more. My only real criticism is that the intro is way too stretched out due to that downscale section that (in my opinion) should have been cut out
I know it is a slightly contentious point but for me the...
I really hope the concept around Bels Feast is carried into the album. I really liked the poster and dark/mysterious vibe that it gave off. Or maybe it was all just for a music video
i was expecting something dark from Maiden following on from TBOS so country rock has really left me not knowing...
Very unmaidenish but i was digging it once it got going
the video was awesome and i liked the story of it
the production sounded better than TBOS but vocals sounded low in the mix? Or maybe that was my speakers
I am sure someone has already said this earlier in the thread.
I just heard that today (15/07) is St Swithins day and whether it rains or is sunny on 15th July then the weather for the following 40 days will be the same
wonder if “rain or shine” from Bruce’s video was to do with this being on...
I am sure this theory has been thought of but one thought is that the three titles are sub titles for parts of a Bels Feast epic. Like what Dream Theater or other prog bands have done
I very recently picked up a turntable as I have been flirting with the idea of getting into vinyl as a way to support my favourite bands after being a Spotify user for more many years supporting artists by going to gigs and t shirts (difficult to do with the absence of gigs...)
anyway it isn’t...
Just had my first playthrough. I remember Hallowed and Revelations being standout vocally. Surely they are from a different night to something like WED
The mix has been well covered, it’s real bad. Drums, bass and vocals are way too overpowering.
The crowd noise, especially in Revelations...
I’m a big Janick fan but his solo in SOTC sounds awful :(
agree with the comments on the mix/production as well, sounds like a low budget bootleg
i saw LOTB twice in London in 2018, I cannot understand why they’d use audio from a show where Bruce was ill or not at his best. He sounded amazing...
