Now that we have heard the song and have the lyrics, Im SO glad that the word stratego is nowhere to be found in the chorus much less the rest of the song. Would have been difficult to work such a strange word/term into a song.
I love the song. The only weakness I see is that the main first 2 verses could have been sung more aggressively. It sounded too subdued for my taste. I love the rest of the vocals!!
Off topic, but bc Im listening on Amazon, after Stratego ended TWOTW came on, so I listened to it all the way through and got reminded through legitamate chills and goosebumps how awesome Adrian's solo is. I'm thinking it may surpass SIASL and thats saying ALOT........
I wouldnt say the solo is "Awesome" but by Janick standards its great. I was a previous Janick "hater". He has come a long way in his album solos IMHO. Now if he could just polish his live solos a little more.......
Janick's soloing work has come a long way. I no longer regard him as a detriment like I used to. Starting with his solos on TBOS and now on this song. Hopefully a sign of good things on the rest of Senjutsu.....

I know this song is brand new and we are all still taking it in and I'm a LITTLE biased lol, but I'm gonna say it...... That may be the best Adrian Maiden solo since SIASL........

Here is something VERY interesting. During the Brave New World tour, I went to the show at Irvine Meadows in Southern California, where Halford and Queensryche opened for Maiden. During Maiden's preparation, one of the intermission songs the venue played had a guitarist that sounded very...
Who gives a crap about numbers? They have sold a fucking crapload of albums and are one of the most successful band and touring acts of our generation without radio play and have NEVER sold out. EVER. Be proud of that and be proud if you are a true fan and understand the influence they have...
