Not just from the 80's - Event Shirts from this current tour (those with the dates on not just the Country that the gigs took place in) are going for £50 at least which is double the retail price. Saw one on there from the O2 gigs that went for £89 a couple of days ago!
For me I really like Bruce's solo stuff (and H's Primal Rock Rebellion come to that) but to me they aren't Maiden. So sorry guys whilst I do listen to and enjoy them they just don't grab me in the same way as a full blown Maiden album.
The friends I was with absolutely loved it, we had seats in the middle tier on Saturday and the sound was fine for us. Admittedly it was a bit distorted at times on the Sunday when we were standing, especially when Bruce was talking between songs but certainly wasn't enough to spoil the show...
I never said the UK is all about London did I? I merely pointed out that for a band in their position (Age, time on tour already etc) playing these gigs in London made sense for them.
I know in terms of seeing bands I’m lucky living in London (not much else to be said for it tho’ expensive...
Sorry I didn’t mean that to come out as it did and no offence was intended I just meant in the grand scheme of things £60.00 is money well spent to see the best band in the world in a top venue and on a Saturday night as well. Factor in that only a few weeks ago it looked like they wouldn’t be...
Living in London I think the ticket prices are pretty reasonable bearing in mind how expensive it is living and working here.
I know it's all relative but check out the prices to any of the top West End shows, or Premiership Football come to that, and compare those to what Maiden (well the...
Not only am I pleased to be able to see them for the 4th time this year I am genuinely pleased for the bands sake, imagine if tickets had sold slowly, they might have been put off playing there again!
I am one happy Hammer this morning - Up The Irons! :)
Thanks for that Mosh, have always thought it strange to say the least that Nicko wouldn't have played. I suppose the whole band were on bit of a downer around that time and that's probably reflected in Nicko's approach?
But I do still like Como Estais Amigo though.... ;)
I have heard this rumour several times before - can anyone confirm if it's true? And if so - why would Nicko not play on this album if he was still the bands drummer?
I appreciate that but I only posted it as I wanted to give fans a heads up of what was (very likely) to happen.
From my point of view it was a godsend as we were planning on going away that weekend and once I found out I was able to put those plans on hold. Just thought it would be nice to...
Sorry if I seemed a bit over sensitive - appreciate no offence was intended but I’d been getting similar comments all week!.
I can only assume that they were contractually unable to announce these additional date(s) until Download was over so it wouldn’t affect ticket sales for the festival...
I posted a couple of weeks ago about this them playing the O2 that weekend (strong possibility of a 2nd night as well) but don't think anybody believed me! As I live 30mins away from the O2 to say I am buzzing about this is an understatement!
Now don’t shoot me down over this as I am only passing on what I have been told. A friend of mine works at the O2 Arena in London and he says Iron Maiden have provisionally booked 2 nights there for the first weekend in August!
He’s not sure yet if it is the Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun but they plan on...
I've always quite liked "Childhoods End" from FOTD and "Como Estais Amigo" from VXI, in fact I would have to say this is probably my favourite song from the "Blaze era"
