I actually like the production a lot more than TFF. I don't really get where you're getting the "disoriented production" from. It sounds nice and punchy to me, a far cry from the limp, damp production of TFF.
Good advice. Seems as though it's only a couple of people bashing the album, while the rest of us seem to think it's pretty great.

Still trying to decide whether I think Empire of the Clouds is a masterpiece of a mishmash of cool ideas. That's definitely a song that's going to take multiple listen to gauge properly.
The beginning almost made me cry, though.
But...they did just create a really good album.
This album has already been a critical hit, it will most likely be a financial hit as well. No reason for them to fix what ain't broke.
