    18th Studio Album discussion

Yes, if you can get very enthusiastic, that's both an advantage and a disadvantage. On the one hand, it gives you energy, but on the other, it can also happen that you believe a bit too early that you have created a masterpiece.

    Accept

His Accept past is something that is generally still very much on Udo's mind. He is also thinking about writing a “tell-all memoir” at some point, but he thinks it will be better after his retirement so that it couldn't do him any harm.

    18th Studio Album discussion

How about recording in early 2026, then releasing after the tour. Message: Spectacular tour, but by the way, in case you thought Maiden was just a cabaret band touring hits now, here's something for you. Check this out too. (I realize that Maiden don't have to pay as much attention to image...

    Bruce Dickinson

Bruce has already mentioned working on new songs, so that's not something that should be kept secret. It's really interesting that this plays no role at all when they speak about upcoming projects.

the Iron Maiden method of songwriting

I think Steve could consider Adrian's opinion a little more when it comes to production.

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Bruce Dickinson: “You want the greatest hits, right? Well, we can’t do them all,…” …in part 1 of the tour? Some here wrote this as soon as the next tour was announced, but it was considered completely implausible by others. Yes, sure. But is it my imagination, or does he genuinely sound even...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Yes, I already complained about it in the Blaze Bayley thread. Yeah, I don't expect anything now either, but closer in time to the tour I still think it would be a good idea.

    Blaze Bayley

I just found them completely generic, insignificant. The thought of how many other bands would have deserved a chance like this more always annoys me.

    Blaze Bayley

I was just thinking, it would have even fit well with the “Silicon Messiah - 25th Anniversary" shows he's playing in 2025, and then the gig would move on to the 50th anniversary of Maiden. But “The Raven Age” are back instead, how nice! :p Do they have an anniversary too?

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

I think there could nevertheless be a statement or a video/interview or something that features Simon. Maybe it would even be a good idea to familiarize the fans with the new situation?

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

If I'm not mistaken, there's been no statement from Simon Dawson about his new role? Maybe there will be a video with him at some point where he says something about his drum set. I don't know if that's logistically possible, but the best version of such a video would of course be if Nicko was...

    Blaze Bayley

It is a pity that Blaze won't be playing any role at all on Maiden's anniversary tour apparently. Or maybe on the next tour after “Run For Your Lives”? I think it would have been very fitting if Blaze had opened some shows (and of course good for his career).

Simon Dawson is the new drummer

But they were of all sorts of nationalities. If someone who wasn't British (or from the Commonwealth) had shown interest, Rod would have gone: :p

Simon Dawson is the new drummer

So you assume that this groove is not part of Steve's vision of Maiden, because Steve obviously doesn't see it as a problem to play with Simon Dawson as a drummer.

Simon Dawson is the new drummer

I think Steve just wants some acceptable rock music for British Lion so he can play live, not more. That's why he is in British Lion.

Simon Dawson is the new drummer

I think there could be some good songs without Steve's involvement on a next album, but for the full Maiden songwriting and idea potential to unfold, they definitely need Steve.

You can test if they are AI generated or if Photoshop was used, just a few examples: https://wasitai.com/ https://www.fakeimagedetector.com/ Photo agencies have increasingly strict guidelines. Famous example: The “Frankenphoto” that Kate Middelton published for Mother's Day 2024 and that was...

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Dear band, I confirm that I don't see or hear any difference to 40-50 year old colleagues! So there is ABSOLUTELY NO reason to prove anything by including “Aces High” in the setlist! :D
  19. M

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

For me, a reasonable interpretation of “Setlist for the ages” would be the famous Maiden classics from that period plus something special, i.e. a never-played song. Stop it! That will motivate Bruce and more recently also Steve to include it in the setlist! :D

Simon Dawson is the new drummer

I don't know. You could make the same argument for Simon Dawson. I'm sure he has also prepared himself to play Iron Maiden songs. Sorry, but when someone or their family angrily makes these arguments publicly on Facebook, you know it was a good call to choose the other option. No one needs the...
