Personally, I think the new tour will open with BQOBD and the set list will more or less resemble the tracks from A Real Live Dead One, with one or two surprises thrown in.
Short or long, a good song is a good song, and Maiden writes good ass songs. Senjutsu is a much more deliberately paced album but the song writing is exquisite with the last 20 minutes/2 songs being some of the best material Maiden has ever written. In my opinion.
Dude came back from a stroke, relearned how to use half of his body, and came out swinging on Maiden's Future Past tour. Nicko should be damn proud of everything he's achieved, especially how he went out like a beast.

Oh yea, the singer is fucking terrible. Sounds like Michael Cera. He's competent but has zero power and emotion in his voice. Thankfully they're taking the drummer, not the singer.
Before we knew for sure if/when Nicko was stepping down, all I could think was "how is Nicko going to play Maiden's faster songs from these albums?" And now that doesn't have to be a concern.
To my knowledge, Dawson only played three songs on the British Lion debut, and played on all of The Burning. Listen to the drumming in this track and it's clear that the guy can at least replicate the footwork. The first few shows next year will be the real eye opener. But again, while Joe...
