Same, I wouldn't rule out big gigs but as time.goes by there's fewer bands I'd pay the price for.
This is the first (only?) tour I'll see Maiden 3 times, price be damned cos I know the end is closer than it was before. Well, I saw Legacy tour 3 times but it was 4yrs between 2nd and 3rd gig so...
Agreed but I still think £80-100 for a Maiden gig is too much. I'm greatful that Maiden are at the lower end of the price scale in terms of big gigs but it's still too dear, in my opinion. When Maiden are done I'd be surprised if I ever went to an arena/stadium gig again.
What the fuck do you know about my mindset, honey?
I replied with oof because...
You accuse them of price gouging on the shirts (probably true).
You accuse them of safebet setlists (Not in the last 10yrs, not in my opinion).
And you say they pander to younger fans, the implication being...
My thoughts on the upcoming Sabbath show...
The cabaret vibe could be to ensure that people get value for money if Ozzy can't actually perform.
I say value, my sources tell me that it will cost £300 for standing, £750 for Golden Circle. We'll see. If it turns out true then I'll maybe trust...
But....but....what if Mosh was also bantering? What if you're actually bantering right now?:nana:
Anyway, I think the run out of Dry County by Bon Jovi is my favourite guitar solo of all time, the boy Sambora is somethin else :shred:
Well thats exactly my point, the desired sound was so far beyond their human capabilities that its akin to using a wha wha pedal on a guitar, a magic sound for a magic moment. Maybe they should have got Michael Kenny out to play it on a tiny violin
It's live enough if you ask me. A little different for Maiden for sure but I saw that as just an embellishment, like lights or dry ice or a backdrop change. It was so obviously not real that it wasn't like they were trying to fool anyone, they weren't covering up any kind of human weakness, it...
The word had always been that they ditched Donnington 2007 because there were so many flags in the crowd and they obscured the cameras.
I've always been a little sceptical of this and here's why....
Maiden would surely have been aware of the amount of flags that might turn up at Donnington...
Can't see them pushing the boat out for this anniversary, based on the recent output.
I suppose the eternal hope is that deluxe/interesting things will be released post retirement. Although personally, I wouldn't find all 4 nights that interesting. One is enough, for me. I feel I've gotten all...
That was certainly true at the start, the novelty and the difficulties in trying to 'crack the scene' but its a much more casual endeavour these days, less energy required.
