Does anyone know what band popularized the guitar dual solos? I know Priest and Maiden were the guys who popularized twin leads and harmonies. But I have a theory that twin guitar solos and guitar duals became more popular after the two Keeper albums. At least with European metal bands.

I wish, for at least one album, Jordan Rudness didn't play any solos and instead played only to add texture and ambience. They are supposed to be progressive, so why don't they do something like that? What I'd love even more is an album with no keyboards. I think that would be amazing.
