The Hobbit is a great book. The recent films do not do the book justice. If you are a Tolkien fan you would probably like the Silmarillion, although the prose is very different from The Hobbit and LOTR.

Ed Hunter (pc game) is pretty poor unfortunately. They could have done it so much better. Obviously the music is awesome but the gameplay is terrible. It's railed and there's only one way to go, plus the targeting system is all over the place.:(
