We need to try and come up with a definitive classification of an epic. Perhaps a song that has a certain feel or is about a particular subject. I would agree that TAATG isn't an epic, neither is HCW.

Personally the only song I would give a 10 rating to from FOTD is Be Quick or Be Dead. FOTD itself is a 9 and the rest of the album is very patchy with FHTE being the best of the rest.

I would put POTO and The Clansman in the top three. That track listing would make a great triple album though.

The only two songs that I'm still not getting are TMOS and WTRRD. They are both hovering around the 7/10 mark while the rest are 8's, 9's or 10's.

I suppose that's true. I just dig the whole package with Killers especially. There are some great tunes on it as well. As I've said before, Dianno's voice was perfect for those first two albums. So much attitude.

I rate each Maiden song on how I feel about it and not how anyone else views it. It's about what I felt both when the song was first released and also has the song stood the test of time. Also I do not take other bands/music into consideration when deciding whether a Maiden song is good or not...
