When City of Evil first came out and his vocals and their overall style changed so significantly... I hated it and stopped listening to them all together. I've picked them back up lately and realize their newer material is still good. A band shouldn't change so much from one record to another to...
Waking the Fallen is a metal classic. A7x is the least shameful of those bands, but they have gone from a true metalcore band to borderline corny glam metal. They sold out big time.
With that being said, they have some of the best guitar solos in metal. They're up there among the best if you can...
Some of my all-time favorite bands (in approximate order)
The Beatles
As I Lay Dying
Iron Maiden
Chimaira
Metallica
System of a Down
Haste the Day
Lamb of God
Underoath
Every Time I Die
Others that I've been getting into more, but still don't know enough about to put among my favorites:
Queen...
Wow that was an awesome 28 seconds! I love it and I do see some similarities to the PS-SSoaSS era, plus Brave New World. Those are 4 of the top 5 albums for me so far. I have high expectations for this album.
BTW, I last checked yesterday and have been checking every business day pretty much. BNW and DoD are still not on itunes.
I contacted IM on their facebook and website and have received no response. I contacted itunes and they only told me "the content provider has chosen to take the material...
Do you all have a plan to immediately restart them when the album releases, or wait a few months? I think people need time to let the new album sink in and not just give their first impressions.
I'm only through VXI but SiT is my favorite album thus far. It's truly amazing from start to finish.
I'm sorry. I've been slacking as of late. I'm all the way through Virtual XI but I think the last commentary I did was for NPftD. I am currently listening to Brave New World on youtube, because iTunes sucks and they have removed BNW and DoD for some reason.
I ask for an extension on my homework...
So I go to buy Brave New World today and what would you know... it's not on itunes. Nor is Dance of Death.
Does anyone have any idea why they would remove those two albums from the itunes US store? This is really annoying.
I put in a support request through apple about it, but have received no...
Seriously though. Blaze has grown on me and he's not that bad. I think he may be better than Paul, in terms of vocal abilities and range. My only complaints are on TXF, he sounds too quiet on some parts of the tracks and I have to turn it up and then turn it back down when the instruments get...
I agree that it is very unusual to wait just 3 weeks before the release of your album to release any new music. Talk about last minute.
Lamb of God released their first single to their new album on May 15th. The album comes out July 24th.
A second single came out on June 8th, a third on June...
I agree with mrknickerbocker. I see a "spoiler" as posting non-official music material (like a leak) or providing your opinion, interpretation of non-released music.
If Iron Maiden doesn't have a certain song available to play on their facebook page or website, don't talk about it. That's how I...
$14 for one song that can be found for free on youtube (i'm sure), an XL t-shirt and a $2 coupon?! The album itself is going for $12 on itunes. Anything more than $1 or $2 is a ripoff.
I selected other because none of them really applied to me.
I'm still slowly working my way through the discography for the first time at a pace of an album every half month. I'll be getting to TFF on 9/1/15. I clearly have enough to hold me over until 9/16 when I'll finally dive into the entire...
slightly OT for this thread, but reading through this and having not yet started the "reunion" albums of the 21st century, I am really excited to get "out of the 90s". The nineties albums were okay, but none of the four were anywhere near the self-titled debut and NotB-SSoaSS stretch from...
