OK, so...Like being the antithesis of one of the most legendary metal albums of all time would be a good thing? AMOLAD isn't worthy even of cleaning The Mighty Beast's cloven hooves with it's tounge! To me AMOLAD is exceptionally weak and boring, but I do have a theory of why it's popular...

As for great melodies, I think BNW, DOD and TFF has way more of them than AMOLAD, which could explain why I have such problems with AMOLAD, it's just not as melodic as I prefer my metal.

I wish they had put Justice of The Peace and Judgement Day on there instead of...hmm... Look for The Truth I suppose. That would have made it quite outstanding.

You're not alone, and just to name a few, I'd say that guitar melody that bookends the solo in The Unbeliever, or the last half of Virus, or the lead/solo in Como Estais Amigos. Pure beauty.

It definitely does. TXF has a lot of Maiden's best melodies ever (so does VXI).

It is extremely overated IMO. Solid, but nowhere near their best works.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they indeed do have a pact with the devil, because the greatness of Maiden simply isn't natural!
