Bring Your Daughter would've worked great in that spot as an audience participation song, but just like with Infinite Dreams I'm pretty sure they simply hate that fucking song and all of the album. They've had plenty of chances to play something from NPFTD, but they never did.
I think the one thing that really stands out in this set is that they're still not playing TETMD. Maybe they should've rehearsed it just in case and replace Aces High with it next show onward.
Also, they fucking did the song with a giant fucking Spitfire hovering above them. How the hell is this a bigger, better show than that? It's absurd they're so insistent on it.
It's just kinda funny that the 80s spanning tour with a seeming early days focus in the promo art is literally just Powerslave Again Again. Again, they did a few more things that are nice, but did we really need all four?
This is starting to feel a bit too Somewhere Back in Time for my tastes, I can't lie. At least we got Seventh Son and Killers to add a bit of variety I guess.
There were also a few guitar lead fills in Rime that I think they only ever played on the original recording, very cool to hear. Definitely wanna go over these with better audio and footage, so hopefully people continue to not care about the no phones thing!
I'm a fucking moron, I've been counting the setlist song count wrong for God knows how many songs now because the official Twitter started the count from Ides rather than Murders. God damn it all.
Set length wise, I can't really see them honestly playing anything other than the beer song from PoM which is kinda lame, but oh well. Can't have it all and LOTB was quite pleasant on the PoM front anyway.
I'd personally put one of them earlier to give the audience some breathing room between the longer tunes. Still, it does fuck with your expectations since it felt like Rime was actually going to be the centerpiece epic and that's it, but no, there's more.
