I don't believe he would deliberately dupe fans into thinking they were going to play songs they never played before knowing that they wouldn't. In fact it was different socials that took that quote and declared Maiden would play songs never done before.

Encore is good one for the masses/casuals though. Seeing the beginning of the graphics for Aces I was hoping it was Tailgunner. Again I don't mind that they played Aces but it should have been the opener. At least it's being played at the proper tempo.

Fans get in their minds what they want the show/tour to be and if it doesn't match up some will complain. They hear "rare and deep cut" tracks and think of songs they've never played before or only once. Well - Murders, Killers, Phantom, 7th Son, and yes Rime are rare and/or deep cuts that...

Surely you're not saying milking as in a bad thing? It's shown the possibilities are so much more with the new screen as opposed to static curtains.

I didn't get that at all. I think in their minds they are trying to give us the best show possible set wise and something new and exciting to look at. And I'm a fan.

While LOTB was fantastic I am thinking perhaps the band (and crew) saw how much stress it was doing the show with all the physical props, set changes, etc. The delay breaking down the pagodas was whack. To top LOTB with more of the same may have looked to be too much and they decided to go in...

I get that Nicko's custom drum paint jobs were really cool and added to the look of the stag. I enjoyed the videos he did showing them off. But Simon needs to be his own man and have a setup that works best for him

I love the setlist. A perfect representation of CLASSIC Maiden. But I would not have had Aces as an encore. They played it at the tempo it was meant to be played but it should have been the opener if they were to have it. I do understand that they wanted to feature Killers at the beginning...

These songs being "rarely played hits" is a misnomer. Maybe to us Maiden nerds but not to most fans.

Murders, Killers, Powerslave, RIme, SSOASS, Phantom all in the same set. Works for me! only missing Infinite Dreams, but that was a longshot

As a fan who may or may not get to see this show next year I do appreciate video from the show, especially those of good quality. Edit: have to add here - where the hell is the Future Past dvd, Rod? Heh But if I was a performer I would much rather look out in the audience and see everyone...
