NO PRAYER FOR THE DYING - Your thoughts…

One of the main problems of No Prayer is that it comes after a list of very good/excellent/legendary albums. And also compared to the one that followed, as a whole it may be better but it has no stand out tracks whereas FotD has the title track, Afraid and Be quick . So I think that most of the...

Nicko McBrain playing with Maiden during the US leg of the Beast on the Road tour

Reading a magazine dedicated to The Number of the Beast, I read in there an info I had totally forgotten. During the US leg of the tour, Clive's father died and Clive flew back to England and stayed there some time with his family and Nicko McBrain replaced him for a few dates before he returned...

Live in Munich 1983 - NEW COMPLETE SOUNDBOARD RECORDING!!!

Actually there were drum solos in Iron Maiden shows since the beginning until the World Piece Tour. Same for guitar solos but these ones (actually this one since it was only Dave Murray) were still part of the World Slavery tour setlist. Then on Somewhere on Tour, we had the guitar duet . And...

Live in Munich 1983 - NEW COMPLETE SOUNDBOARD RECORDING!!!

But this recording is from the World Slavery Tour, not the World Piece tour, a great sounding bootleg I must say The 1983 Ipswich bootleg is called The trooper in Ipswich and it's true, is among the very best audience recorded bootlegs (the version released in 2006 by the taper himself is the...

If Maiden were to release an official live album from any tour of the past...

Actually, as it's said on the description on Youtube, this is a compilation from recordings between 99 and 2006. Believe me, I searched for years for the best bootlegs available, specially for this tour and if there are some that are quite good (a version of the second night in New York that is...

If Maiden were to release an official live album from any tour of the past...

Well, on one hand, I'd like to have an official live album for every tour that doesnt have one. But since there are quite some tours for which we may find very good sounding bootlegs (sometimes from radio or television broadcasts, soundboards or even some very good audience ones), if there was...

    1990/91 bootleg question

There are quite a few interesting bootlegs from this tour with good to great quality: Leicester, 2nd of October, with the name of "This is thirsty work" (taped by a guy called Gigaddiction) London, Hammersmith, 18 of October, probably not the best sounding, but still quite one but what matters...

    Replacing Nicko?

Sometimes I wonder if some fans really know Maiden that well and how they work. There are bands who have no problem replacing some of their members for the duration of a tour or for the recording of certain parts in the studio (Kiss comes directly to mind). This is not at all the way Maiden...

    Replacing Nicko?

On the one hand, there are bands who, as soon as one of their members isn't suitable or doesn't meet expectations, are replaced, even if it's only when they can't play a song in the studio or when they're not up to touring. A perfect example would be a band like Kiss! Here, what counts is that...

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

Pure science is maths or physics (or exact science if you prefer), health is not a pure science since everyone's body is different and will react differently to treatments (with some common points of course but never 100%)

Iron Maiden Tour 2025 - Discussion

It's funny how some seem to know the band better than they ever knew themselves. Some facts: 1) how a person's age is totally different from one person to another no matter if they've followed the exact same path in life,. If it's true how we take care of our health helps, it's not pure...

Name things about Maiden that have changed to the better over the years

The pace of the songs played live. Some songs were better live when played a bit faster (Flight of Icarus as an example) but there was a period where they simply played everything way too fast. Nowadays some may be even a bit too slow but sure age doesn't help neither

    Favourite (non-Maiden) albums by bandmembers

If I'm not mistaken, unless there are pages missing on mine (but it doesn't seem so, I'll check again when I'll be back home) but Janick Gers was nowhere to be found about these questions (didn't have the time to add the ones for Blaze on my initial post though, thanks a lot for all the scans).
