The Wacken performance isn't great IMO. Obviously, as the last show of that tour, you could tell the band had their minds on vacation (sloppy performance in places - Bruce clowning around more than usual etc...). I wouldn't really want that as a DVD.

Yeah, I don't get the Rime comparison at all. ATG is long with a few twists and turns, but it's not the 13 minute behemoth that Rime is. It's more in the standard epic (Powerslave, Phantom, Hallowed, To Tame a Land etc...) territory.

I've always respected PL. The only challenge I have with them is that I think there are several bands that do the "gloomy overcast mood" thing better than they do, and a lot of PL's stuff ends up blurring together/sounding the same to my ears.
