I fully agree. Hellfest don't always negotiate an exclusivity clause (Maiden played Arras just a days after Hellfest in 2014), butthere would be no arena gig for sure.
I don't think Steve writes everything in the studio. He has rough ideas, melodies, whole passages written through the years, and it's in the studio that he patches them together (or with others's ideas) to create proper songs.
Those guys have completely lost it. Berserker was boring, Jomsviking was not really better. I think this has something to do with their declared ambition to fill stadiums. All those so-called anthems can be ridiculous.
I chanced upon a Be'lakor a few months ago, and I've since gone through all their discography. Some songs may be too long and some parts repeated too much, but we all know here ths isn't enough to ruin a song.
