I have no doubts that they will continue touring in the future, even after the final album :)
They'll release ''Somewhere Back in the Early Days'' or something and tour again.
It might be dangerous to name the album The Final Frontier... What if they want to make another one? What if it really sucks? Maybe it will be like Friday the 13th series :)
I guess I can understand both sides on this one. The lyrics are almost always pointed out as the best part of the song, but I'm not too bothered with this. I was more shocked when I heard the riff from Midnight Chaser xD
That's most likely the case, but I still think they should have...
I don't mind artists/bands taking lines or verses from other songs, but they should make a reference to the original artist. I found about this some time ago, but I'm still surprised how little this is discussed compared to other things.
That's probably true generally speaking, but Somewhere in Time was an obvious album to pick songs from on a tour with a near-identical name. I don't think an internet poll where people vote songs against eachother says anything about the general opinion on the reacion to the setlist.
Maybe not; people might love to hear some 'rarities' live, while still not liking that studio album. I have yet to find more than a couple of people who lauds Maiden for their set-list choices.
I'm looking forward to the hype as well :) the only other ''online-album-hype'' I have experienced was when I listened to Linkin Park back in 06-07 and it was just silly. People would over-analyse every word of the bandmembers. Now, Iron Maiden may have a more ''selected'' audience than Linkin...
The only thing I do not like about this one is the ''joke-intro'' at the very beginning. It ruins the feeling of descending into insanity. Other than that I adore this song too :)
WayoftheMaster = fail
THE ATHEIST'S NIGHTMARE!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4yBvvGi ... re=related
(notice the sexual overtones)
I have not seen any evidence to indicate an afterlife, so I don't live my life thinking too much about it. I believe that nothing will happen, and that makes...
Being an atheist I don't believe anything happens after you die (other than de-composing of course), but death still bothers me. I don't fear for what might happen, I have more fear about what will happen while I am still alive.
What makes this song special is the character development. He goes from being cold and looking down at people who fear death, then at the end he panicks and screams out hallowed be thy name. It's almost like a character study of how you mind can react when nearing your end.
